My fiance and I are from Indiana, we are going to look into getting this operation done with your team. She is a Marine veteran and was recently diagnosed with this after putting it off for a few years. She’s in immense pain throughout the day and I’m willing to do anything to solve it. This surgery hasn’t been done much around where we are from and I do not trust anyone here to do it. I’ve done my research and I am very confident your team is the best choice!
I am from the Region of Sao Jose do Rio Preto- SP. I was diagnosed in 2007 with Pigmented Vilonodular Synovitis I am 28 years old now ... I had 8 surgeries because I had many relapses the last 3 years ago I went to Sao Paulo to have a treatment 1 month after the surgery called Ytrium 90 now I don't feel anything.
I have dealt with it since my 20s. I am now in my 50s Today (may 2021) I started a new drug called Turalio. I am hopeful. I have it in both knees and one elbow. Turalio is a form of chemo and isn’t with out potential side effects. If you’re watching this, look it up on line, maybe it can help you. Good luck
My heart goes out to you. My son, who is 14, was diagnosed with this in March. He just had surgery on Friday to remove the lining in his left knee. He'll need another surgery in 6 weeks to go through the back of the knee. He was in quite a bit of pain, but he's managed really well and is up and walking on his own (with crutches). I'm not sure what the future holds but he's a trooper. You'll get through this 👍 Find a good doctor/surgeon who will answer all your questions. He's been told he should be able to participate in moderate activity soon. Not sure in the long run, but we're grateful that it's not life threatening.
