Looking at the #5 single tail lights on this car strongly resemble the Frank Arciero Lotus 19 Monte Carlo that Dan Gurney drove (and won) at Daytona WSC in 1962. [update 5/6/24]: Bud Tingelstad's Chevy powered Arciero Lotus 19

The pace car is a Dodge Dart , although in Canada that body style was called Valiant signet .This had to be the '65 event ,there were plenty of '65 Dodges and Plymouths, although Parnelli Jones was in a '64 Mercury. Iv'e got a 1965 Hot Rod magazine, that has an article on this event, and it mentions the '65 Plymouth with a Torqueflite auto trans, which was unusual, and it shows a photo of Paul Goldsmiths '65 Plymouth dangling precariously over the edge of the mountainside, and in the video you will notice they didnt have film of his car coming across the finish line .
