I was expecting the plasm wraith to come back if i'm honest.

Emporer Bulbax would have been a fitting thing to "end" with but the battle like the first game. Course with added mechanics like eye stalks being damaged etc.

@@Richyrion the arachnorbs were golden, so I bet it was just the plasm wraith imitating the long legs.

I mean it definitely helps the theory that the mission before, you fight the enemies in the cavern and they turn into that plasm wraith gold goo. So it's not impossible to think that the golden arachnorbs are plasm wraith pieces. I just hope that this means pikmin 4 will happen because they acknowledged that plasm wraith has gotten angry and put in hard enemies in the formidable oak area

@@liljon042 I wouldn't say the most interesting part about this level is that the Plasm Wraith placed really tough enemies, but rather that 1. The Plasm Wraith is NOWHERE to be seen. You'd think because that's its base that it would stay there, but nope, it either presumably wandered off and left strong enemies behind like you said, or directly turned into the 2 bosses we fight here so Olimar wouldn't inmediately run away upon seeing it again and Louie wouldn't sense it like he did when they arrived there for the first time. Heck, it probably is responsible for stealing the parts of the ship and keeping them there so Olimar would return and to make sure he couldn't escape again. 2. Despite all that, we find Pikmin in the area. No onion, all of them with leafs, just sitting there, next to those things that change a Pikmin's species (and are presumably a less advanced version of an onion). And the Plasm Wraith has no reason to give Olimar Pikmin so he can fight it again, let alone at the top of the tree used as its base. To me that means that after it was defeated, life slowly has started to return to the Formidable Oak, instead of just these fake wild creatures. The Pikmin we see are now ready to defend their new home from the being that used to have full control over it

You actually can hear a part of the Plasm Wraith chase theme during the melody, if you listen really closely.

@@benonaru nah the music alone made this better than any other of the fights against these guys in pikmin 3 plus if you activate both at once the fight is more challenging which is better and cooler

@@powerONdelta yeah, but remember, female spiders are often larger than their male counterparts, I'm sure this also applies to arachnorbs, another key detail, in pikmin 2 when you defeated the raging long-legs in story mode of pikmin 2, she dropped mitites, a parasite that ,according to the piklopedia develops inside female specimens of the planet, and then hide in their eggs, it also can't be a shaggy long-legs, due to no hair, it can't be a normal beady longlegs due to the size of the legs, and it can't be a new species due to the way the foot of the arachnorb is designed,it's an exact match to that of the female in pikmin 2, the coloration can't disprove this due to male spiders often having different coloration to th females, take for example the male black widow, and the female, the male is smaller and has different coloration and design on its abdomen the female is larger and has a darker shade of black and the infamous red hourglass on it's abdomen

I was honestly expecting emperor bulblax, titan dweevil, or plasm wraith, but I like to think that the plasm wraith changed its form into a spiderlike form to try to capture olimar again

Yeah I wish they could have added at least one new enemy to the game. They could have added white wollywogs or breadbugs or another enemy that was in the first and second game.
