Awesome workout! I'm a pilates instructor that just finished my yoga teacher training and have been looking for ways to merge the two into one workout - this is great!
This is such a great workout! Thank you for being so instructive and clear as well as positive and funny. My main problem is that side planks cause me a lot of pain in the wrist--I can't do it at all. Would you recommend putting something under my hand? I don't know if I'll be able to find yoga blocks where I live. Thank you again!
Make sure you press some weight into your fingertips and into the knuckle of the index finger so you are distributing the weight though whole hand and not dumping all your body weight into the heel of your hand which is what can make the wrists hurt. Or take the hand further forward to reduce the wrist angle.
Wow a great way to warm up this morning especially those side planks. My arms were burning for a good two minutes after that. And I did the hip flexor stretch in the other side. I loved stretching over the side like you mentioned, what a lovely stretch.
Hello Jessica! Love all your Video. I would like to know, if you have any more video like this. I been doing Yoga, but love Pilates. I had to stop Pilates, when I was told I had an SI Joint problem. Which cause me pain in my hips, back, and Sacrum. So I could not do the leg circles on my side or be to much on my back. Yoga has helped me so much .So I would like to do both, to help my back, and hip pain. I feel that Pilates tones me up more, and I like to faster pace, but love the stretching you get from Yoga. Thanks for posting these videos!
Yes I do! did this one and the one for Scoliosis. Helped a lot with back pain. I will be trying your other beginners Pilates videos, and set up a routine this week of 3 to 4x a week, with the stretches for alignment, that Physical Therapy showed me.. Thanks!
I love love love this workout! Yoga isn't something I enjoy as much as pilates, but the two combined is my idea of perfection! I've recently been injured and told to lessen my exercise (I used to be a cyclist) but I've also recently become even skinnier than I used to be (and I've always been skinny...), so doing cardio isn't something I want to overexert myself with. Thus 'yogalates' is exactly the kind of thing I need! It's perfect! Thanks so much, Jessica! Love your channel :)xxx
@@stevie56565 first of all how should I have known that you were female second of all can you blame me the comment was just a little bit creepy talking about her body type and how she was a petite young lady which just sounds kind of weird even if you didn’t mean to I wasn’t trying to be rude it was just like kind of weird so can you like calm down you’re probably like 30-year-old woman yelling at some 14-year-old
@@quinnisa_ even if I was a male I still fail to see what is wrong with saying she is petite and fit... She is after all..... It's a fitness video .... it is all about your body! If you are 14 maybe you should refrain from leaving comments ... Try not to be easily offended by everything... Your generation is very good at that. ;) since when does giving a compliment become creepy????
