I live close to RAAF Base Pearce here in Western Australia and these beautiful birds howl over my house almost on a daily basis. Usually at least 6 of them training doing laps, sometimes in groups of two. They're not usually going as quick as the ones in this video, around 220kts or so. I'm here looking at the Pilatus video because they are out in force right now, followed by two British Aerospace Hawk Mk.127LIF Jets. Can't get enough of them, it's like a free airshow from my backyard 😎. Every now and then (maybe once or twice a year) we get the F/A-18 Super Hornet going over which is my favourite aircraft, as my dad was foreman at GAF Avalon in the day building the F/A-18's.
This plane is extremely noisy. It strongly impacts the hovered territories, 10 km around. It is a scourge for populations. Have a look to Google comments about base 709 in Cognac, and you will be edified.
