holnrew it is very reassuring to hear professional and competent pilots go through checklists, I agree. Maybe people who fear flying would benefit from watching these Swiss professionals as they fly the plane.
I know how you feel. The only way to really make peace with it is really knowing how things work. Once you do, you'll realize that in order for the whole thing to actually go down, a lot of things would need to go south. For example, in a car you'd probably know you wouldn't just bore low up, and that way of thinking would get even stronger if you were to know how bad things really needed to be in order for a failure like that to happen, which would make you calmer.

As a Dutchman, who is also fluent in German speaking, reading and writing, i am always confused when they switch over to Swiss German, because i cannot understand anything of it, LOL! Bavarian is also difficult, but at least i can understand something of it..Love the professionalism of these pilots. Friend of mine is a 1st officer with KLM, first on boeing 747's and now 777's, I have so much respect for him and what he has achieved!

Being a pilot is gonna be awesome. I could feel the pressure to keep the flight on a safe and smooth route after departure and at the same time the ATC had to clear the path for arrivals. The last part just had to look like a love story😂😂😂
he is Head of Flight Operations now, lots of hours in the cockpit and very professional. dunno if he is still on schedule for such trips around the globe.

I just realized that they're same crew who flies the swiss A340 what a great team they make,besides im wondering if they rather operate the 340 than the 330
World of aviation. Scary and amazing. But I guess it's just a routine to experienced pilots. For me it's always scary at first and then I ease into it.

Good lord. Big time lightning up there lol. If I were to be in a plane at that time, I’d be worried. Hopefully these planes have a way of deflecting or channeling all that energy through lol. But if they can get above it, then it’s smooth sailing.
