To me it looks like the captain let her do the takeoff as part of her training. He had his left had close to the cloche every time, he was ready for intervention in case of need.
sixty years from now, teenagers will see that gal, then a great grandmother, and fail to recognize how awesome she is in an MD-11. "Lufthansa cargo eight TWO SIX seeroooo".... luv the enunciation.
What a great crew coordination and what a professional crew. Captain seems highly skilled and the co-pilot is fantastic. Her beauty enhances her professionalism. Great clip, loved it. Thanks.
Fantastic team, very enjoyable to watch this pair of professional pilots. I admire this profession, and particularly admire women in this job. Now this video is in my favorite list, to watch once in a while. Thank you both . Eduardo Ramirez, MD. From Tabasco- Mexiko
Fascinating. I was in the London Air Traffic Control Centre back at the end of the 70's. Seeing how it works in a non-English speaking cockpit was very interesting, especially the use of English FL numbers used between the crew amongst the more casual conversation which of course we didn't usually hear. As you would expect from Lufthansa, a top class professional crew.
The Germans do have a sense of humor; it's the Swiss who don't. The Dutch, on the other hand, think they have a sense of humor, but they are mostly stupid rather funny.
+theevilmeister There is another video on here where they land together and then go travel around the place they landed at. They show in the video that they are married.
Fantastic video! I flew in the Marines for 22 years. Retired from that 8 years ago. Und ich hab auch in Deutschland gewohnt als Kind. Irgend wann vermisse ich fliegen. Ich kann immer noch ein bischen Deutsch verstehen. Very good crew coordination between these two pilots. They switch back and forth from aviation English to Deutsch quite seamlessly. That was the most fun for me to watch.
These videos are great. I love seeing the behind-the-scenes aspects of aviation. As an engineer I love aircraft but they're just a machine without the pilots. This crew is so professional and sharp. More videos like this please!
Initial Anne looked bit jinxed may be coz it was the first flight with the captain, but once she started the briefings she came to her natural aviator mode. :D And oh yes! May you turn to the left side of the MD 11 some day. Happy flying!
Just try and absorb all of the information they are processing in milliseconds takes my breathe away. The co-pilot sharing a bit of personal information is very sweet.
That's BS Hokunin. Crew ressource management is a VERY big thing, on all flights with a multi-person crew. There's been a lot of accidents in the past because captains didn't work with their crew.
+Hokunin, thats wrong, First officers usually do the take off and most of the flying, Captains fly the final approach and landing! Check more videos and u will see! Takeoff and flying the plane is something a kid with some assistance can do, so ofc they trust their co-pilot. 2nd, First officer are very very able to handle a plane, they can land it, they are first officers because they need more experience before they take the left seat! Dont be confused.. EDIT: PS. check google for anybody knows how to fly a plane?? news. thank me later :)
@@Hokunin a first officer has the same training as a captain... The only difference are the hours in air. But he can control and land a plane as good as a captain..
Congratulations on the video and the edition, I rarely saw a flight that touched me so much. I am passionate about aviation, I did not have the opportunity to enter the segment but I take it in my heart. Once again, congratulations!
The only good thing about these (Lufthansa's) MD-11s is the GE engines. I used to work on this fleet and they had way many more problems than the 747-200F that these birds replaced. LH is replacing them with 777 freighters. After the Boeing takeover of MD the aircraft was scheduled to be discontinued. Lufthansa convinced Boeing to continue production for the number of AC they wanted.
EN: Azul airplanes make me feel proud of Brazil! Such an amazing airline! PT: As aeronaves da Azul me faz ficar orgulhoso do Brasil! É uma companhia aérea incrível!
What a great TEAM! I flight to Guarulhos Airport twice a year, I was very pleased to see Luftansa operating at Guarulhos. I hope to be in one of your planes some day Ana. You are an amazing and terrific Pilot.
Just so much to remember, it's really impressive what flight crew do. I love the way these guys switch from English to German and back mid-sentence. Ah, and I'm in love... ;-)
Best thing about been a pilot would be no staff conflict. Each time a pilot goes to work they work with different pilots and staff, they just have to bring their smarts with them and be ready to fly. That would most likely eliminate the problems that come with working in an office or an environment were you are seeing the same peoples face 5 times a week right?? Surely..
If you’re scared of flying, watching these videos really puts into perspective how normal flying is. You can see their faces are the same as that if someone who just works a office job. They are almost literally in autopilot mode themselves, this is basically second nature to them. Not only that, but watching these videos can help you become accustomed to the sounds of airplane and can make it more casual for you
@@fatherwoodlouse yes, personality issues. Not with this crew, that's my point. The openness between Captain and First Officer. The relaxed, even humorous atmosphere. It was precisely the LACK of this kind of cockpit ease that was the direct cause of several tragedies in the past. That's what makes this pilot/copilot relationship so refreshing.
Crisp, clear communication. Business-like. German. At the end his face said, Left seat, yeah right! Thanks for the great video and fantastic view into your world.
Superb communication between pilot and co-pilot, very professional and thoroughly executed. I'm amazed at the processes required to fly. I have always love airplane, and regret never pursuing a flying career. thanks for the great video....happy flying!!!
The flight crew, both, are truly impressive professionals, examples for all to follow. I am certainly impressed by Senior First Officer Kramm. But the sad part is that there is no update on her success in gaining her career goals, specifically to be promoted to the grade of Captain and be able to sit in the left seat. Did she finally attain the goal of Captain and, if so, what is she now flying.
Hmmm ... I guess that states more about you then about her. Shouldn't the order be the other way round: She's a professional pilot. That's what the video is about. Yes, she's German. Surprise! There are German pilots!. And ... yes, she's a woman. WTF has this to do with her being a pilot?! Why is this what most of the commentator think is the most important thing to mention?! Guys, the sexism in most of these comments really sucks. If you can't watch a video of a woman working profesionally as a pilot without getting a boner, you concede a point to feminsm. Way to go ... :(
I love this pilot Anne! I'd love to fly around the world with her and wake up to her beautiful smile every morning! Brains and beauty and a sense of humour.
