Just getting started into building virtual pinball. Started building the cabinet. Should I work on learning pinball x or pinup popper. Thanks for any input.
Sorry major but pinballx sucks hard. When I found out it wasn't pushing the b2s to the front and running the image in the beck ground, which affects table performance, I switched it for popper and never looked back, not to mention the media manager option in pinup popper is so much easier to use.
I personally have not tried Popper. I saw some videos from Terry and must say that it looks good.... Material for another series maybe????? thx for the suggestion
Feel free to try out other solutions but just wanted to say technically, as the developer, the post is nonsense in regards to the back glass issue and does not make sense to me. Happy to look into any issues though. I am aware that the modified B2S server specifically made for Popper does cause some issues but that is because it is designed for Popper and a little hacked. Its easily fixed with a configuration setting.
awesome as always. I have a problem lol. How can you exit a game w/o a keyboard in vis pinball or pinballx? When I try to configure the ESC key to a button it just escapes out. Can't set it., I have a button mapped to Q the that brings up the quit / resume /etc page. Am I missing something?
If you have an older version of PinballX if you update to the newest version will it just keep all your settings or you have to setup everything again??
I am not sure. One thing i know though, is that once you are done setting up all the media, dmd, etc.... you need to back it up. What i do is i back up the Media folder, the Database folder and the settings folder. Every time i re-install pinball X i just move over my backed up folder and i am good.
