The genius that is Pink Floyd took everything good from all corners of music to construct its own genre. Something that will live on in time, forever recognized as a masterpiece and rightfully so. Truly beautiful, let alone fucking kick ass music.

Random? In a school where "masters" wore black gowns, stood on raised platforms, with obligatory prayers before a dinner of something greyish which I'm still unsure what it was, and forbidden to leave the table until you'd an empty plate. My trouser pockets full of this mush, aged 14 or so this was my reality in an English grammar school stuck in the 1950s. Thanks for the memory. The older I get, the more I love this song and album !

You rarely hear this version on the radio which is a shame because it's brilliant. The arrangement is serious and it just pulls you into the song like a predator on the hunt!!! Stan.

This is in my Top Three songs by Pink Floyd. School days in the early to mid 80s. I loved and hated school. I enjoyed the music and art and drama most of all, especially the quality music of the time.

I saw this movie back in 81 (ish) at Northridge shopping mall in Brown Deer WI. Think I was 14 (ish) Me and my buddy Dean went in under age to the midnight show. Forget what they called it. Saw Dawn of the Dead. Few others. Under age and drunk. Stoned. Movie on the big screen floored me. I was done. Gooood times.

I was there and remember just listening to the album over and over trying to understand. Went to opening and closing nights of the Wall in Los Angeles and just tripped on it all. What an experience. A true "Wall" veteran.

I was 11 years old when I heard this on headphones 🎧. After this song and album I was a Pink Floyd fan for life. Saw them twice back in the 80s without Roger Waters but loved both experiences. They made Reunion Arena shake like crazy.
