Went to the concert in 1980, I was working in London and me and my wife went with some friends. The second time it was in London 1981 when we took our two kids. They have lived of that concert their whole lives. One now works in TV, 51 years old and the other works in Wales UK 53. It was fantastic and we have had the bug for big concerts all our lives. Even today at 75. You can't beat a singalong.
Thanks to you all I’m listening again in January 2022 the 25 month of the Covid attack in 2020. This reminds me of when we all free. Looks like that has ended.
I knew. As soon as I heard those unmistakable guitar licks. No cover, no tribute, no copy. Back before 1980 no computerization. A real guitar hero. Bass, drums, piano, organ, synth, mike. No autotune. No digital keyboard. Just raw talent and practice, practice, practice.
Date hate me, but I saw “the wall” concert 2 nights in a row at age 18 in London in 1981 (graduated from ASL- American School of London in 81’). It was like a lottery to get tickets so I sent in for both nights not expecting to get either. Ended up getting a pair of tickets each to both nights. Can’t remember why I could not unload the second nights ticket but was quite happy to go both nights.
Go and see Roger Waters then - he’s toured The Wall a couple of times since the original shows - he’s out on the road again this year. Saw him in 2001/2 and it was an awesome experience.
I have been living in the wall and behind the wall since 1980!!! I'm already 62 years old, and I'm like there in the 1980s! My whole life is in rock music! @Pink Floyd - The Wall 1980 I'm with you!
I remember when this first came out i was 8 or 9 years old. My brother took me to the shop i waited in the car and he brought back the cassette and he played this on the car stereo. Goose bumps .... that's what this music gave me. I can't forget the feeling when i first heard this song.
Dark side of the moon,
Always hearing this song and feeling this músic in heart. Perfect!!
@@dvdfrnzwbr it didn’t scare me ;D this song reminds me of the time my arch nemesis was mad at me for falling in love with another student in middle school
Okay whatever!! This is England post world war II first generation!! With all due respect .. if you had been born in 1943 in great Britain!!??? I'm very interested in the songs you might have composed!!
It was then the beautiful 80s, just two years after I finished high school when I saw this Pink Floyd masterpiece for the first time and then something wonderful happened: each pronounced syllable of rebellious youth protest against the bullying of the teachers of that time, nestled deep inside my brain, then each musical note, each drum beat and those wonderful and electrifying guitar solos, in the hands of that genius who played it, each note of the electronic organs, each tambourine beat, each sound Loud of the bass, they all nested within the synapses of my neurons and became memorable memories of a happy past that will never return. Today, thanks to RU-vid, I see this musical work of art again, with the humorous representation of the horrible teacher, who was bullying his students, those neural connections are reactivated and I vibrate with happiness! Definitely, when the good becomes classic it is part of immortality. It will never go away! Thanks, Pink Floyd !!
It was the year my mother left her mortal coil...I had hard times in my life from adults around me. This song was as if it ment for me to heal during my young days....now I look back this band was seeing much more that the only children going through which is child abuse in schools, home or people around them and pheodiophiles too.
I was cute 16 when that song was released. Highschool times and nights. I don't want to miss that time in Berlin/West. 💕 Pink Floyd is a part of my life 😂
Snowy White was the second guitar in the 1980 tour, this video, the following year, in 1981 there was Andy Roberts, then also deserve to be nominated exceptional guitarists that Gilmour chose to other historical, beautiful, unrepeatable performances, Tim Renwick acoustic and electric guitars in the delicate sound of thunder, an exhibition dream, as usual, I was lucky enough to see May 22, 1989, in Italy, specifically in Livorno (Tuscany). In 1994 in Turin, Italy, I witnessed a perfect performance, and the support was still guitarist Tim Renwick, who was also one of the word, to close, I would like to thank my mother, who recently is gone, for introducing me to Pink Floyd, although i was a child of 11 years, taking me to London, where i was struck by this work, which still has the ability to attract fans from all over the world and tell a story, that everyone interprets as they see fit, a masterpiece of music ever, Waters is definitely one of the musical geniuses of all time, and I thank the June 14, 1981, at Earl's court, despite being a boy, I received that message, and even today at 46 years, music is my life, but Pink Floyd represent much more than a legendary band that I admire ... but this can only understand a part of the millions of fans ...
One of all times bests ,it gets better and better as the times go by...I still get the chills listen to it today as I did when I was sixteen.Salute to the Pink floyd.
