“The Wall”, in which the protagonist Pink builds a metaphorical wall around himself to protect himself from the suffering of life, caused by traumas such as the death of his father, the abandonment of his mother and indeed school education. The song also has disco elements, suggested by producer Bob Ezrin, which make the song more catchy and danceable.
