I was there !!!!! It was a daylong festival with stars like Robert Plant/Jimmy Page, Phil Collins, Paul McCartney, Tears for Fears, Mark Knopfler, Elton John etc.
David Gilmour's voice in Comfortably Numb hurts me with such power that every time I hear it I remember my father when he left me The Wall one winter morning, while I was sleeping, becoming one of the most important albums of my life. Thank you Pink Floyd for inviting me on that eternal magical journey.
My father also gave that album to me. It was the double CD. It was on my 15th birthday, and it was accompanied by a Metallica T-shirt. I know every word and every sound to the entire 2 CD's. I'm getting ready to turn 49.

Good Grief, 34 years ago! Just listen to the sound. Its all together, and yet you can hear each individual musician playing their individual part. What a great band Pink Floyd were, I often wonder what we might have heard from them had Roger not left. But still today listening to them makes my hair curl and my eyes glisten. Thank you Syd, Roger, Nick, Richard & Dave for giving me the soundtrack to my life. Dark Side of the Moon is for me the greatest album of all time.
Music which invites you to a journey into the endless land of dreams - no matter if it is the sad side, the bright side, if it is full of hope or fear … that is entirely your own choice as you are the only one responsible. This music just offers opportunities, which nowadays them one-hit-wonder girls and boys never thought of 🤓🫣🤓
So Glad I Had a Chance to See Them Live When Dark Side of the Moon And Animals Came out! Brilliant Simply Brilliant! I WILL NEVER FORGET IT! Im67 Years Old!🤪😆👍👍👍👍🎸🎼
I was luck enough to have been there. I didn't have a clue who was performing that day aside from Pink Floyd so was amazed at how star studded the line up was. Great day and night. Memories ❤
When I'm feel sad, I always listen to Pink Floyd music and it gives me a enormous inner strength. Thank you for your sound and sensitivity for This songs. I love it❤❤❤❤❤ R.I.P. Syd Barret and Richard Wright ❣️
@brandonvereyken4869 1980? Shine on you crazy diamond was first played live in 1975 Knebworth i was there, and also before the album wish were here was even released in September 75
I always felt transported into another space - world when I listened to Pink Floyd 45 years ago. And still I think they are the first Space Rock Band in this, my world. 🌍🌎🌏🌐🎇🎆
I think that it has had Never been a band such as Pink Floyd and unfortunately it will never be again! I started to listen to them when I was 16. I am 54 now. I might not listen to them anymore as I used to but honestly sometimes I do and Really What a band! What a Music!
A woman playing the saxophone in such an excellent way is not something you see every day, Enjoy! Also the woman soloing in the Great Gig in the Sky is Clare Torry, the original voice you hear in the album.
I consider myself to be extremely fortunate to have seen Pink Floyd a dozen times both in the UK and other countries. The song I always dread is Run Like Hell, a great tune but always the last song in their set. It often bought a twinge of regret and the same thought ‘will I ever see them live again?’ Alas no more🥲
My greatest concert experience was Pink Floyd 1975 two nights front row center at the Capital center in Washington DC, Dark side of the moon with Dick Perry on sax, with a 20 min intermission then Wish you were here just before it came out, then an encore of Echos from the Medal album, what a show, now Richard Wright is gone David and Roger don’t speak to each other anymore some friends that were there with us those nights are gone and I am 70 yrs old. Wow…
Psychedelic rhythm and blues...I can chair dance to this, at age 73, lol. Plus pound out the rhythm on the desk, or just sit back and close my eyes. They amaze me, always did, always will.

Thls is some of the most amazing music I’ve ever heard in my life! I’m so lucky I grew up listening to Pink Floyd, it truly makes me appreciate musicians even more!
I don't think anyone will come close to the inspiring music that Pink Floyd delivers, there sound is so unique & gives my emotions a roller coaster shiver when I sing along. ALL BANDS ARE GREAT WHEN PUT TO THE TEST, BUT PINK FLOYD IS THE BEST & SHITS ON THE REST! FROM ( AUSSIE JOHN)......
I saw Floyd in 80, What struck me was the quality of musicianship. There was simply a level of professionalism that they didn’t go below. Very few bands have this. There aren’t many occasions which can’t be made better by Shine. It’s the nearest thing to Classical music in the modern era. I have seen some seriously terrific tribute bands, but although they have the technical ability, they lack the X factor, the Soul, the undefinable magic of the real thing.
Just watched this concert again ,shame i can only give it. 1 LIKE ,IT DESERVES A MILLION! ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING.. I ❤PINK FLOYD,THERE MUSIC IS INSPIRATIONAL & TRULY AMAZING. FROM(AUSSIE JOHN)..
I was there. Saw them a year before at the London Arena but this was special. Candy Dulfer on sax and Clare Torry singin Great Gig. Pity they had to remove the video screen because of the high winds but the lasers were something else. I also heard that they paid the fine out of their own pockets for finishing late so the charity didnt suffer
All that music was played through a Wharferdale mammoth sound system. The ground moved below your feet. It started to drizzle rain but did not. bother Dave on the Stratocaster. Rubbed shoulders with a lady who lost her friend from Wembley so I took her home to H/Hempstead. Never forget this great day ❤
Cheers! Must have been an excellent performance. I saw the original four band members perform in Madison Square Garden, New York City on 14 JULY, 1977.
I live in Wembley that's very sad. I lost my dad in December 2023 and will never forget him we had Shine On Pts. 1-5 played at his funeral a few weeks ago.
Also my dad had friends in HH.. Regardless this is a great concert. I saw Dave in 2000 at the Meltdown concert at Royal Festival Hall and then 2006 at the Royal Albert Hall it was the 31st of the month.
Also I was at Live8 not exactly inside but it didn't matter. The sound was incredible!!. But I saw Dave at the Stratpack performance in Wembley a few years back....
Bowie, Crosby, Nash, Wiatt...... From France With love 🇨🇵
Pulse, DSOT now Knebworth. Can you get enough of PF? The creative juices that flowed out these genius' could fill a stadium. They created their own niche in the music world that few have achieved.
This is one of those events where modern tech is a Godly Gift. My word, what a remaster! How utterly epic. Like it was recorded last week. I suffered the low-res quality of this concert for more than half my lifetime. But now! Just wow!. Absolutely mint. How is it even possible? What a treasure this is...
I love seeing Nick Mason , he was grinning, appreciating all the other members, quiet, modest, perfect drumming in the background...hard to do on many of these psychedelic off beat gems.
New car, caviar, four stars dream...Riding on a cosmic train. And where do Pink the next show? The garden's waitin' for the sun. Regards from the past🌛(from Jujuy,Argentina)
Very Few Bands are as Timeless as The Floyd,i can Listen after A Mellow Smoke and Still feel The Same as i Did when i was 30 Years ago,Cause You can Bet they Were as High as Kites when they Wrote Them lol JS
Great Gig In The Sky on the original DSOTM album was a one take magical performance that can never be equalled even by the original singer her self. A moment of eternity that should remain untouched.
The firsrt time il listent PINK FLOYD, 50 YEARS AGO , I WAS 20, En français, je suis restée " SCOTCHÉE " LE DISQUE ENTIER, JE N AVAIS JAMAIS ENTENDU UNE MUSIQUE 🎶 AUSSI ENVOÛTANTE, J AVAIS MON CŒUR ❤QUI BATTAIT POUR LA PREMIÈRE FOIS
