Pink Floyd - Yet Another Movie Remastered Later Years 2019 

"Yet Another Movie" by Pink Floyd is one of the most mystical song ever created! Every time I listen to it, my hair in the back of my neck just stands up! For me, it is one of my absolute favorite song by Pink Floyd together with "Welcome to the machine". The best version of it, is ofcourse from the "Delicate sound of thunder" live album. I just love Pink Floyd. All the best from Johan in Sweden.

This song is an absolute gem from the post waters Pink Floyd era. A haunting song with mechanical undertones sung perfectly by Gilmore.

"Yet Another Movie" is a great song. But then again, anything from David Gilmour is Great! "Comfortably Numb" is my favorite. Gilmour is genius!

I saw Pink Floyd 3 times; 2 (in the same week) for this tour, 1 for Pulse tour. I'm a musician/keyboardist since 10 years old. I saw lots of concerts. I have to say Pink Floyd come from another planet. This tune is so underated. Great song. Great sounds. Great atmosphere. Pure Pink Floyd.

Almost 30 years ago when I 1st watched this on overused VHS with lousy sound and ever worse picture I wasn't thrilled 2 much about it, I had it on double cassette. Now I can see what perfection, as always, Pink Floyd was at any tour. And this song is one of most underrated PF songs and it has it all, lyrics, killer solo and story. Amazing

OMG the keyboards in this song! They've a kind of touch of Zimmer (see Black Rain OST) and Depeche Mode! And the amazing lyrics and the magic in the David's touch

It was the first song of Pink Floyd I listened to. My father opened for me this band when we were travelling years ago. It's my favourite song. My father died year ago and when I listen to Pink Floyd especially "Yet another movie" I always cry.

With this footage revealed and the concert brought out in full (as 'The Later Years') you hear the differences which they cut out & paste from and onto the tracks that came out on the Delicate album back in the day. Listen to Comfortably Numb for instance and you will know what i mean!! Guess it's the most played album i have so i notice(d) it ;) You also hear the audience way better as the vocals from the other members throughout the tracks.. Good news is that it are all the tracks played at the time.. I was there in Rotterdam '88 and i knew i had heard 'Welcome to the machine' and 'One slip' I was disappointed they where not on the double album at the time.. For me this was the better concert too.. probably because it was the first time i saw them.. I was at two of those shows at Nassau Coliseum, including the final one which was a late addition. The tickets went on sale just two days before the show because they decided they wanted to shoot more footage. I had seats just off the side of the stage for the last night and it was absolutely amazing.

This sonically ambitious piece has some rather abstract lyrics that might be hard to decipher. Dave Gilmour claimed : “It’s a more surrealistic effort than anything I’ve attempted before. I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT ALL OF IT MEANS MYSELF.” “Yet Another Movie” (1987) uses bits of dialogue from the cult classic movie “Casablanca” (1942), which can be heard in the last 45 seconds of the track. The dialogue is from a scene near the end of the film, when Rick (Humphrey Bogart) puts Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman) on a plane. 💙🎵🩷🎬💚

This song is so ominous but amazing

The song is remarkable: it is Floyd's minor classic. Gilmour's lyrics here are solid and heartfelt; each of the three verses are followed by concise but very expressive solos; the atmosphere is dense and full of despair but there is some beauty and exaltation too. I prefer the live version - it is much more consistent and the balance of atmosphere and melody is right. I also seriously prefer the position of the song in the life version: it is the third in the set of AMLOR songs. It and makes a great point as a profound contrast to the joyful "Learning To Fly": hopes that disappeared in the air, broken promises, half a page of scribbled lines. Amazing! (PS. "Round And Around" should be treated as the coda, not as a stand-alone number).

uow. pf is an example of great composition, investment in sound, image, inovation in studio and concert, marketing and so on. you also feel the rigor but also the love in this concerts. i love roger for all he have done, but it was necessary to see this love instead of hate in 1975-1979 era. delicate was the first disc my father offered me and my father fall in love with pink floyd (he has the same age of david gilmour, and born also in march)

Saw Floyd in '94 but the Momentary Lapse tour possibly had the best lighting of any tour ever. Regret not seeing this show live! And I still love the weird etherealness of Side 2 of Momentary Lapse.
