Thanks Maliek, didn't know of the ripple to add all the transitions that way. My go to transitions, I just start with a fade in and end with a fade out and crossfade everything in between, simple is best for me. Cheers
I'm all about the simple fade myself. Most effective and doesn't take away from the video. Glad I was able to show you how to access and use the ripple effect.
The "Ripple" effect takes care of the problem I sent you a question on about a month ago, where I wanted to select a group of timeline elements and have the transition change all of those I selected. That is pretty nifty and this Tutorial you published answered my question. . . Thank you Maliek...
Thank you once again Maliek. Even though I knew how to use transitions I always find that you go the extra mile and add things I don't necessarily use or know how to use. Now I know what the RIPPLE does! As always I love your work!
Thanks again for all the hard work to put all of this together. You are a very good instructor and I enjoy learning from you. Thanks again for a awesome video on Pinnacle.
I use the plain cross dissolve almost exclusively as it doesn't distract from the fishing content of my videos. I found out the hard way about adding cross dissolves as the last edit, after syncing title locations, voiceovers, etc to the video track. I had to realign the entire project. That was a major pain. I do seem to recall one time having everything on all tracks move in sync when I changed the length of a transition. I can't recall though how I accomplished that (maybe a dream?). Thanks again, Maliek, for all the effort you take making these videos, all to keep your peeps getting the most out of PS.
Maliek, half the stuff you shoe I already know but I watch your video's anyway 'cause there is always something or some click I don't know about. Thank you.
Omg i appreciate these videos they have helped me soooooo much i was so frustrated . After using a muvh older version i updated and oh my goodness was it a transition. Good stuff here !
Hey Maliek. You are my go to for Pinnacle !! I NEED some help. I made an intro and an outro a few years back. They are a .mov file. Something is wrong with the intro as it shows a dead spot AFTER I export it. That's with no transition, with all types of transitions in 1080P and in SD. The Outro works fine. Not sure what to do and I need some back up PLEASE!
Not sure what you mean by a dead spot. Have you stretched your timeline all the way out so you can see each frame and checked for any issues on the timeline? What steps have you already taken to try to remedy the issue?
PinnacleStudioPro That’s a great idea and I will try that. Can you watch the 1st 15 seconds of this video and you will see what I mean. KWP - A Better Exterior Siding and Trim Boardru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-h7rSQ3h4qTk.html . Perhaps I could email you the raw file (before export) so see if you can help pinpoint the issue. I would be very appreciative!
I do not check files for others. You can post your issue and the file on the Pinnacle forum and they can check it for you there. That circle arrow often appears where Studio is unable to de-interlace footage correctly (or thinks it needs to when it doesn't). Go to the Control Panel and change the Hardware Acceleration Type to 'None' in Export & Preview settings and see if that fixes the issue. I highly recommend joining the forum and the Facebook users group if you need help with the software in the future.
Hi, thanx for all these tutorials ! It's a great help. About the transitions tutorial, in Studio 12 when I used a cross dissolve transition the soundtrack of the video was also lowered and up during the transition. Is this gone in Studio 19 ?
Hi...thank you for video. I have a video clip and no problem putting a transition at start and end, however I want to insert a transition in the middle of the video clip but it will not let me. I split the clip.... and then inserted a transition at end of first split clip transition but still it would not appear...can you help?? thanks.
You create great tutorials. Thanks for the great info. I noticed you're using Camtasia, I assume for creating these? Is Camtasia better for that use case (screen capping for Tutorial/How-To videos) than the Pinnacle Studio with it's screen capture functionality?
I use Camtasia because I have been using it since before Pinnacle had a screen recorder. It is "my" program of choice. I have never used the Pinnacle screen recorder so I can't say which is better in my opinion.
Hi Maliek, can you tell me if you have a tutorial on general house keeping activities, I have completed a number of projects, and have not removed any of them, thus I have noticed that i have hundreds of tags, videos and photos in my list as well as a lot of Project bins, it is becoming quite cluttered.
No I don't have a video on that subject. Since all of my things are pretty much in order not sure how I'd go about doing something like that. In the mean time if you want me to consider doing a tutorial please complete the tutorial request form in the video description of my new videos.
Your training is great. I have been trying to make a Star Trek transporter effect using a green screen I have tried a basic dissolve & a matrix4 wipe, either seems ok. but I cannot figure out how to get some sort of light effect at the position I enter the scene or exit. Using Pinnacle studio Ultimate 20 with updates. any Ideas.
Can you make one video tutorial about how to Transferring Red Giant Toonit and 3D Stroke To Pinnacle Studio 20 or 21. How to use them? I stuck with this because I not see the Red Giant at all in my Pinnacle Studio 20.6.0 Thank you.
Do you have a previous version of Pinnacle Studio that has working versions of Red Giant? If so is it 32 bit or 64 bit? If it is 32 bit the plugins will not work with PS 20.6. Read this post on the steps you'll need to follow to get Red Giant plugins onto PS 20.6 plus.google.com/102141199686264839117/posts/iwdHWSMWgSs
Just upgraded from 19.5 to 20.5 and I'm loving these. Is there a way I can download these video into my computer so I don't have to come back here to search? Thanks ....
Not a problem. Understood. What I've done is copy the url link of a tutorial, pasted it into a .txt file with the name of your tutorial and put them into a "Maliek" folder so they are all in one place in my computer. That way they are organized and can just be brought alive in a browser, all on RU-vid. You making money at this is of prime importance. I'm not sure you know how really good you are and the invaluable help you provide for us "civilians." Thanks so much ...
Need Help with Pinnacle 20 Ultimate............. We have a DJI Phantom 4 Pro Drone the video will not play in pinnacle 20 preview. It really don't see it at all. Some clips with show the last 5 or 6 sec but that's all. The timeline shows the full length of the video but we only see a few sec. Please help?????????
What is the file format and the codec of the video? Can you view videos from other devices in the preview window? Have you tried the steps on the Corel site? support.corel.com/hc/en-us/articles/217999617-No-Preview-In-Pinnacle-Studio-19
Is there anywhere I can see the effect of the FLIP transition? In PowerDirector it is as thick as a brick paver! Not thin enough like used in the 1978 movie Superman at the beginning.
I have Pinnacle Studio 21 Ultimate. I'd like to do a video where I have transitions like a fairy tale book opening and pages turning to tell the story. Can Studio do this? If so, please tell me how! Seriously, I really want to know.
Trying to polish up my first Pinnacle Pro video, and I just discovered that I have NO transitions showing up on my transitions tab. Any ideas? Thanks!~
Hello everyone. I am trying to figure out how to do zoom transition in Pinnacle Studio (version 20 ultimate edition) Can´t find correct effect in library. If you watch video from Chris Rogers on his youtube channel, you will see great zoom transition (video name´s GoPro: Exploring Bali with Contiki). Can somebody help to me? thanks to all
Thanks for the new video, always learn a lot from you Maliek. Sometimes I make my own transitions for our woodworking product videos. For example, I'll take two .PNG files containing two different wood species place them on the time line and use Pan and Zoom to make them cross straight or on an angle for shifting from one scene to another and add a sound byte to compliment the action. This video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lh640g0a8Lc.html shows that effect at the 1:07 mark.
Pinnacle Studio is absolutely horrible. Rendering takes forever, as a matter of fact, ANYTHING you try to do with Pinnacle Studio will take FOREVER...after you've patiently waited, the clips will usually turn out fucked up thanks to poor coding or whatever. Don't attempt anything other than piecing clips together with this software.....Thanks Pinnacle, for selling$$$ me some BS!!
