Pinnacle Studio 21 Ultimate | Basic Editing Beginners Tutorial

Your videos are really great! I can follow the instructions, you take time for me to see what you are doing, and you have nice arrows to show me where you went. I had no luck with the "official" videos. Clearly the Pinnacle 21 for Dummies (and those of us terrified of technology). Thank-you Thank-you! I can stop sweating learning this upgrade from Pinnacle 15, which is what I have been using for 5 years.

I just purchased S22 Ultimate and have no experience with video editing. Thank you, useful information. However, I may have missed it as I had to leave and come back to viewing your tutorial but I still can't figure out how to cut sections from a single video clip and then marry the portions I want to keep into one video for export. Anyway, I'll just keep fumbling my way through it and hope it becomes clear. If I'm successful, I just hope I can remember how I got there :-)

You've just about convinced me to go with Pinnacle Studio. How do you think it compares with programs like Filmora and Davinci Resolve? Update. Uninstalled as it crashes!

I would like to see PS21, PS22 and PS23 take on board that the import is not allowing a capture of say a dazzle Video Capture to a more common h264 / mp4 codec. Painful when converting say a old VHS to digital and can take hours to re-render to a h264 or mp4 format. Otherwise great videos!

Me again - this video is super, I am understanding quite a bit more of the basic stuff I need. Have now mastered how to edit out a part of a clip and how to put text into my movie. And this is not a title, but several sentences.

Pinnacle Studio 21 Ultimate is easy to understand and work with. It is most look like with version 15 styles and that makes me happy to work with 21 right now. Only thing is, I can not see the red giant.

how does one add both landscape and portrait videos on a timeline for a simple edit keeping both the original formats.The editor usually keeps the first clips format but if we just want to combine various clips what is the simple way to do it?

Help Pinnacle support is no help When I move videos into pinnacle they are greened out with different colors I can't see what they are. The trial version of 26 worked fine bought the full version and it's crap. I bought a new computer to make 4k videos with so I really think it's the program

Cant you help me now my husband films with his camera. then he sometimes deletes a file that was not ok. when I put them on the computer to work with them, in my video program picnaccel studio 26, another file is put in the place where he has deleted the other one. but on the camera all files load correctly. someone who knows what to do. as we are going on a trip of 2 months, so it will be a shame to fight with it when so much has to be edited

whats up Maliek! had a question for you or anyone that can help. i place text on the upper left corner of my video and then i will put a box behind the text. it helps the text stand out clearly. my problem is when i export the video and play it back the box behind the text will be off set a bit. the text will remain where i placed. please someone help!

Hi Maliek, great video's you are really helping me out all the time! Is it also possible to make sports video to analyse the players and their positions on the field. I mean with arrows and circles and that kind of stuff.

I am jumping from Studio 9 to 22. I am totally lost. I was once quite good at this, but can't even find a video to use now. Nor a still shot. All this is flying by me so fast and I am not grasping a word of it. I am missing something (probably brain cells!). I spent a lot of money on this product and cannot use it. Very frustrating.

Great job as always Maliek. Can you please remind me of how to trim a video in the preview window? I used to be able to drop a clip into the preview window then set markers defining which part of the clip I wanted to move to the timeline. Now I've forgotten how to do that. Every time I try to create a DVD the chapters never come out right. Why can't this program handle simple changes to the desired order of chapters? If there's a way, it's sure a mystery. It needs much more attention and on screen assistance.

Why does the audio lag the video in Pinnacle 17, but the file plays just fine in Pinnacle 14? My file was recorded 30 FPS on an iphone 8 and is a ".MOV" file.

Hi Maliek, I have run into a problem and I don't know how to fix it. For some reason the video I place on my timeline comes out in sort of a purple effect. I can only get my video in color if I choose the Source view. What gives??? I don't remember which camera I used but in looking over the Properties the Video codec was AVC1. I am trying to make the video in 1920 x 1080 30 (60i) With your expertise I am sure you can help me. My Pinnacle 20 Ultimate f--d up and I am new to 21 so I can use any help you can give me. Joan

I have a question for you (or anyone else reading this). I am having a problem with track synchronization while editing and I noticed the issue happened here in this video @17:27. When I have multiple tracks with clips in each track... say 3 tracks... I may line a clip in track one with something in track 2. But when I add or delete something in track 2, and the clips are moved forward or back in time.. the clip in track one stays put... it does move with the items in track 2, thus throwing everything out of sync between track 1 and track 2. If I make an edit in track 2 or 3 I would have to go back and move the clips around in track 1. Ok, if I only have one or two tracks but if I have a complex edit between several tracks this can become a nightmare and a major editing headache. Whats going on and how to fix it?

Hi Maliek Can you help . when I import AVCHD files into my computer the video file and audio is fine . .although if I then import these video files into Pinnacle Studio Pro Ultimate the audio is not copied just the video file. Your advice would be most welcome.

Great videos. I get a lot out of them. I've seen reviews about Studio 21.5 being unstable. I am currently using 17, but need to upgrade to install on a new computer. Hi Maliek. Could you please make a video about adding plugins and add-ons? I've tried this, followed the instructions, yet none of the goodies shows in Effects > Add-ons. The Pinnacle PDF manual I have doesn't mention any of this stuff. It's Studio 21 Ultimate I'm using. A step-by-step guide would be most appreciated.

Dear Maliek without your tutorials it would be impossible to do a decent job on Pinnacle.Keep up the great job.I need some help please. I am using a Gropro 7 on PInnacle Studio 21 Ultimate. If any clip requires time repmapping, it takes almost an eternity to finish the rendering. I have decent hardware, I'm sure hardware it not the issue. Same kind of thing if done on a mac on final cut pro takes literally seconds. I've done things like reducing the playback optimization, but that clearly not the solution. Can you please help with a workable solution?

How do I save my video to have a thumbnail as the first title of my video? Every time I export, the end result in the mp4 file, shows as somewhere in the movie. I need the first title to be the attention grabber, and not mid way. When I post to social media, they see a frame from within, but need them to see the words in the title first. earlier versions of Pinnacle, allowed you to right click and select "set as thumbnail." In 21, it doesn't have that option. Please help.
