TO BE FAIR. One was a signal being interrupted by going super deep underground and having layer upon layer of radio frequencies and reinforced Garlean Steel between you and Cid. There's literally nothing but distance between Y'shtola and the twins. The Tower of Babil even has a useful sun roof.
On Pint's ramblings about the elements : Darkness doesn't stop dynamis, it accelerates aether (the ancients summoned Zodiark as a darkness aspected primal to boost the aether flow of the planet), and dynamis thrives most where there's no aether. Dynamis can also be negative (the final days thing, the totentanz, the power that dark knights and to a lesser degree warriors use too, reapers stuff etc), it also feeds on negative emotions, something the 13th would be full of, especially since it's a world so poor with aether that just breathing in the source heals you in comparison (as the massive use of primals during the war in the 13th completely drained the planet). So i wouldn't say voidsents have no dynamis, quite the contrary, it's just not happy dynamis. Things like powerful voidsents being able to manifest a domain that reflects their personality/mental state for example seems pretty similar to how Meteion used dynamis to manifest Ultima Thule.
The best part about Pint being caught up with the MSQ is that now he can make theory crafting streams/vods that we can all contribute to. I imagine a whiteboard with dots being connected and predictions that will probably come true because Pint is pretty epic at getting most things right.
It's also worth mentioning, since alot of people in chat were saying that garlean culture = bad, that garlemald isn't just the empire, there was a garlean republic before, like barely 60 years ago. Emet just roleplayed a random soldier in the garlean army and went Julius Caesar on the country, he didn't create it.
But the thing is... When we fought Zodiark he had 8/14 of his original strength + Fandianiel's power. Could this Zodiark truly be as powerful? Considering that he's only 1/14 of his original strength + Azdaja + true Golbez (the crystal)?
On the other hand, he's a Darkness Primal on a world that's entirely shifted to Darkness, as opposed to being trapped in a prison of Light. He has the environmental advantage to power himself.
Like Aldsan said. And that if we want a chance to bring Azdaja back, we _have_ to fight Zeromus in it's home turf. Also lets not undersell Azdaja's contribution to the threat pool here, we know how much of a headache two dragon eyes can cause, even if they're not as old as Nidhogg. It's also not a given that the power level also has to always go up, either, yeah?
So glad that Pint's finally caught up with the MSQ. Discovering stuff Day 1 is one of the best things to look forward too since everyone is still still trying to figure out the mechanics (hope he does the upcoming day 1 Alliance raid with his FC). Again, as I've said before, I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't mind If he ever decides to try branching into other stuff. Now that he's doing recent content he does't need to be beholden to just playing FF all the time. 17:31 I really appreciate whoever the foodie is with that is working for CBU3. First buuz and now curry, this game definitely made me try some new foods that are out of my comfort zone (definitely should've tried mild curry rather than spicy first, that thing is . 25:36 As glad as I am that they did this for fanservice, I really wish I hadn't done Tatarus's Grand Endeavor first. This scene brings me bad memories of a character that I'd rather forget. Zero's comment was really priceless though, and that was perfect. 1:43:00 Between the letter and the two dad's mention of their client, I have no doubt that whoever's waiting for us in the next expansion turns up to be great character. 2:49:28 Such a great moment for both Zero and Jullus. Jullus has really come a long way and is such a good character that Zero can learn from. 3:39:51 Curious we got another echo in first person. Between G'raha in Shadowbringer and Amon in Endwalker, this character will no doubt end up being super important later. There's also the question in the end of who managed to turn this person into a crystal instead of being consumed by Durarte. 4:09:34 I'm so glad that the Zero was Zeromus theory ended up being a red herring. Also, I can't wait to hear Soken's rendition of the Final Battle for FFIV. Even if the it comes from the SNES era, that music is such a banger for a final boss music. Anyone who hasn't heard it before should really look it up.
@@pedroscoponi4905 It's definitely possible. I'm still unsure if it was Durante himself who turned the real Golbez into a memoria crystal or someone else entirely. We did see the enemy memoriates Zero fought at 6.3 use the memoria crystals to gain a power boost to beat her, but we still don't know if there is a definite point of no return from overusing it, which the real Golbez may have been forced to do - ulimately causing him to become corrupted.
My issue with this patch is that it basically ends on a cliffhanger and the next one won't predictably be out until August or September. Fanfest is happening in July and we're likely to get a 7.0 reveal but based on this patch we still have no idea what 7.0 will be. There was zero hint this patch about 7.0. Just speculation based on Krile's letter, Thancred's new job, etc.
Zero foreshadowing compared to dalamud, bahamut and that war for ARR. This is a new era/arc come on, only .5 and the new trailer? .5 better be a masterpiece
We are looking at like 12 months at least before 7.0 right? 4 Months to 6.5, and wouldn't there be another 4 months to 6.55?? Usually 6.5 is split because there is usually a grand spectacle at the end. For 5.55, it was the solo instance where you fought all the lunar primals. Then who knows how long to 7.0 (probably at least another 4 months).
I just realized when I did MSQ I missed the cutscene around 03:05:34, with the bunnies... I thought it was a bit awkward that rallied them and then they walked away LOL. I can't believe that's the first major bug I've seen in this game - I thought squeenix did a good job keeping everything smooth! The cutscene just didn't play and it skipped it immediately I guess (I do have auto skip previously viewed cutscenes on so maybe that was the bug). I'm so sad I missed the funny/spooky Zero moment
Yo, shoutout to Azdaja for NOT being a bigot? "-You're friends with mortals now!? -Yeah, they're cool. -Oooh, times have changed then, nice." I saw some folks in chat asking - the situation with the Cloud of Darkness was explained in 6.2. When we beat her back in ARR, all the souls she ate scattered about, so she _is_ out there but much much weaker, and might have already been eaten by someone else at this point.
