Zenos is actually a lot more intelligent that you'd think, given how he comes off as just a brute that wants to fight. He's able to listen and consider other people's opinions. His world view is nihilistic, but it shows that he has thought about such things before and even came to a conclusion of his own. You'd think that when Julius and Alisaie were talking to him, he'd just go "what did you just say to me you little bitch", but with the first one he elaborates on his view point and with Alisaie he just calmly listens and thinks about it.
Nah they'd still be rabbits, bare in mind loporits are roughly the size of lalafell, which are child sized to other races, so they would be roughly proportionate to ancients as rabbits are to us.
Who would've thought we would hear a life lesson from Zenos of all people. 1:32:48 Damn, and I thought Pint's Shadowbringers acapella was amazing. Can't wait for the full release of the album. I'm in full support of Pint if he decides to switch over to his Joji arc in the future. 1:39:51 It's Conrad isn't it? That's definitely Conrad. 1:59:54 While I agree that Kokol is miles better than Cid in terms of personality, we can't just forget what Cid and his crew did in the alternate timeline to let G'raha set in motion the events in Shadowbringers. He's too bloody useful. Also Cid and Nero are a bundle package. Can't have one without the other. 2:21:12 Hope you'll grow to like this music Pint. You'll be hearing this for a long while.
In reading the Tales of the Shadows, Hermes was basically torturing's her. In his early research, he would send some of her sisters out to learn how to sue Dynamis, and they would follow it into all kind of bad places like actual stars, and Meteon would still be connected when they died. Also, Her thing about apples, she picked all of this up, along with Hermes self doubt and other issues and made them her own. I don't think all there was to be found out there were dead worlds, No, it's because of her upbringing, its dead worlds is all she honed in on. It's like giving Google a bad search query. Other stuff was out there, but her search was programmed by the pain and torment of her upbringing, and Hermes self doubt, so, that's all she was able to find. There's more I want to say, but it would get into spoilers past where Pint is, but there is more that I think proves this too. I would wager if Hythlodaeus had programmer her, she'd have found all happy places.
He made an empath who can't eat food. The ONE thing that draws people together more then anything else, a shared meal, is denied her because he refused to even give her the option. The man says with a straight face "Oh if you're good you can watch me eat an apple" and people think he was a good dad.
Oddly enough what is so telling is that this story is ultimately about connection... and there is a warning about hyper-compassionate people who fail to connect. They can do as much harm as socio/psychopaths. Ultimately, Elidibus failed because he had no real support from the fractured Ascian team. Hermes went off into crazy research because he didn't check in with friends. He was isolated. Even more interesting, he also failed to turn in his research to the Bureau, where Hythlo might have helped him and saved Meteion a ton of trouble. As Emet-Selch pointed out, Hermes had programmed into Meteion the wrong question/dataset. Even Hermes admits that he had given Meteion wings to fly but hadn't given her the ability to walk. Symbolically, this relates a lot to psychological resilience. Compare this to the other Scions, particularly G'raha Tia, who are supported and win because of the powah of friendship. It's kinda goopy but if you felt something when Sam carried Frodo up the side of Mount Doom, then you'll feel something here as well.
The relationship arc through the game of Alphinaud ans Estinian is fantastic. Aplinaud is so much better with a big brother figure in his life, and Estinian is so much better with Alphie filling the part of Estinians lost younger brother. I love their relationship.
I really love how if you talk to Estinien after Alphinaud says that he's just getting help "collecting firewood", Estinien is all like "Yeah, I'm not sure exactly WHY he seems to have fixated on that."
Feo Ul can just make a little familiar of themself to follow you around. They already do this multiple times after becoming Titania in ShB including popping into Tataru's dreams. So having a minion of them would not only be possible, but also lore accurate. Iirc, they've mentioned that the reason they haven't was just because they "hadn't thought of it", but that was a while ago so... Only other reason I can think is that they don't wanna have a spoiler minion, but you've already seen people riding around on Argos so that wouldn't even be a good reason.
Music composed by Nobuo Uematsu is usually picked up by digital rights management systems used by RU-vid and Twitch because his catalogue was added to those lists while the rest of the FFXIV soundtrack wasn't. That's why a video with his works MIGHT get automatically claimed, where as in general any other tracks would be claimed manually. In general, a video that is only the music from FFXIV might be manually claimed, but they almost never touch gameplay videos. However, SE doesn't control the automated content management systems that include Uematsu's work.
I actually really like the Loporrit section of Labyrinthos. For 2 reasons: 1 - Remember when Venat said after getting her galaxy brain insight, she started seeing the world "Through a newborn's eyes"? Cookingway just had an entire emotional rollercoaster because of a _lemon._ Yep. 2 - I don't know about ya'll, but I am a big fan of adventure for the sake of adventure. So when you put a moon sized ship in front of me and tell me "the plan is to travel to other worlds and find a place to re-settle", to make that sound like a BAD idea? You gotta sell me on the place I'm already at. Remind me of why I should love and protect not just the people, _but the planet itself._ I think that section of the MSQ does that really, really well.
Zenos haters I feel kinda decided they didn't like him from the get go and refused to listen when his character arc was happening, staying fixated on "eww creepy stalker kekw cringe cartoon villain". It's not that cryptic to understand though, but you have to be willing to actually listen to it.
I was thinking the same........I was more shocked how much it impacted him than that it actually happened since he always seemed to banter and laugh during serious moments lol
I wouldn’t say Metion only went out looking for bad things, but the Metion we met seemed quite fixated on her father not feeling like he is alone with his sorrows.
The way she was made, means she involuntarily feels the emotions of the people she comes in contact with. She became angry and sad because the people she met all were, unironically it's really that simple... if the people she met were happy and content, she would have been ecstatic.
One of Metion's biggest problems was a programming error. Hermes didn't think to filter the swarm. So Metion Prime felt **every other metion's sadness** then felt their sadness feeling the other's sadness, as each member of the swarm fed into the infinite sadness loop. And then we have to remember she was freezing up during just **one** person's sadness being too much, let alone multiple worlds repeated multiple times.
I think you’re all looking a little too hard for an explanation rooted in fact and beyond any individual’s culpability, and overlooking Metion’s own feelings, her choice. People made choices, understandable choices, relatable choices, but still choices. The final days wasn’t just some grand inevitable cosmic consequence, it was a long chain of individuals’ beliefs in nihilism, refusing to spit in the face of a ludicrous answer in spite of how compelling it might seem.
@@SanraiDalris I just legit think Hermes was a terrible designer, screwed up his creations, and sent them off to die instead of admitting they had an entire building full of people whose entire job was to vet and tech support Creation magics. Hythl's literal job was to veto or pass Creation ideas for testing in Elpis, and Hermes bypassed the rules and sent off shoddy work that doomed multiple planets from being able to evolve.
@@tommenno Wow, that’s the most scummy hopeless empty take I’ve seen yet. Your completely insufferable. Please don’t talk to me. Learn to have a little love for others please.
Replete is the opposite of deplete. Also meteion was sent out with a pessimistic outlook as her predisposition, so even if a civilization was just content she might interpret it as stagnation.
I never understood the moon strategy either. Meteion is causing the final days from the edge of the universe. What good does it do to flee the planet? She can reach anywhere, and Hydaelyn knew that. The only chance would be possibly finding a place that was super dense with ether, to create a shield against dynamis, but Midgardsormr tried that, and the best place he found was Etheirys. It's true that the universe is a big place, and Midgardsormr couldn't have gone everywhere, so there's always hope, but it's a very slim hope. I wouldn't want to be stuck on the moon with the entire population of Etheirys when the final days hits it.
Maybe she did it knowing full well that whatever vessel they built to reach the moon could be engineered to reach Meteion instead, but im not really sure. Fleeing isnt perfect but any tiny chance of survival is better than letting the world burn in idleness i guess.
The Meteia weren't looking for bad things. That was never an aspect of their design. When Hermes sent them out, he told them to ask "what makes life worth living", which is at worst a neutral question. And when they found it, the one at home tried to hide it, which you probably wouldn't do with something you looking for.
She also couldn't **stop** asking the question either. she basically turned the third gold and white world into a suicide planet because she "Why?"ed them to death.
@@killtheheretics2915 Nope, they talk about it. her constantly asking them why, and their not having an answer she could bring back, caused them to question everything, and turned them into nihilists. it's in the lore blurbs in the instance.
i watches all of these vods, but the moment "THAT" music starts playing i immediately skipped to the end. sorry for the watchtime, but im not going through that shit again lmao
