Pintel and Ragetti we're literally the most funny side-characters of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and I thought they deserved their own video.
Now, it looks like we won't have Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow in the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie, either... unless a miracle happens! Without him, the next POTC movie is going to take quite a hit at the Box Office...if indeed, it still gets made! Well...so much for the Pirates of the Caribbean Franchise...........
@@mag9604 Well... unfortunately, it looks like Johnny Depp won't be reprising his famous (Or, rather, infamous!), role as Captain Jack Sparrow, which, in my opinion, is going to be a major problem, if he indeed isn't included. There's some speculation that Gibbs, one of Jack's faithful sidemen and possibly an Officer by now, will become a much more influential player in the upcoming movie, if it is indeed made. There's also talk of Bill Nighy reprising his role as Captain Davy Jones. Somehow, if this particular part of the movie plays out, he may come back from the dead, as Captain Jack Sparrow did in Pirates of the Caribbean:At World's End did. At the end of Pirates of the Caribbean:Dead Men Tell No Tales, there was an open-ended segueway, seemingly, at near the end of that movie, which seemed to show Captain Davy Jones coming up to, and standing beside, the bed of William and Elizabeth Turner. Then, suddenly, Will awoke from what appeared to be a dream-like state, realize that it was, in his thinking, only a dream. But-What he didn't notice, was that there were some little seashells on the floor. Let's wait to see what happens...if, Indeed, it does happen!

Yes, director Gore Verbinski wanted the audience to know that it was Ragetti spying on Elizabeth, even before it was revealed he was looking with his wooden eye.
In deadman’s chest I think why nobody questioned ragetti and pintel cause they were in a rush running from the cannibals . Plus prior the black pearl lost a dozen members in their crew from the cages falling prior . They need ragetti and pintel regardless
@@rubyriches Well it doesnt mean they can not be like friends to each other but many people wouldnt introduce family members as friends. they would title them as cousin or whatever they are. Even tho they act like any other friend for them.

Moreover, as they don't share a family name- Pintel is Ragetti's maternal uncle & both are "comical" names- many in universe & irl, from their intimacy, would assume blood brothers/comrades in arms to the death friendship, or as us in the fandom (especially the fanfic community) has been asking/saying since 2003, something more "un Disney" as Lee Arenberg (Pintel) stated Disney executives put it. Indeed, in his words; he & Mackenzie Crook (Ragetti) were asked to provide a non sexual/romantic aspect to their relationship from executives, because queer sailors, let alone pirates (google their sky behind the scenes special for Dead Man's Chest, Mackenzie's 2006 with Jack Davenport & Lee Arenberg's more recent interviews, they explain everything tbh lol), never happened according to pre 2020 Disney. Not withstanding the moniker of they're literally comrades in "arms" (the ones with hands, not steel lol) & "uncle & nephew", term used for non out gay couples, being the usual answer to "are they gay &/or queer &/or couple?" ie Ragetti's love of dresses & Calypso (literally the sea) & Pintel's eunuch dating... They're themselves, & they're loved for it.
@@deen7530 I’d contest that: were it that you could feel pain, Barbossa would have screamed bloody murder when he got stabbed in the chest by Elizabeth. No, I’d say Ragetti, in his dopey sense, forgot he can’t feel pain.
@@CountTentacula And I'd argue that Barbossa is so extra that he refused to scream when stabbed just to make the reveal of his curse to Elizabeth even more dramatic.
@@deen7530 would also explain his blank expression once being shot by jack since he had gotten used to faking it. So even though the shot was real, it didn't register in his head as such.
6:24 We all know that Cotton, Pintel, Ragetti and pretty much the whole crew most likely all died at the hands of Blackbeard. somehow Marty, Murtogg, Mullroy and Barbossa survived Blackbeard attack
Ragetti clearly lied about not being able to read. He is obviously exceptionally well read even compared to an educated man. His encyclopedic knowledge of the most random things is bizzare.
Pinter and Ragetti are two very interesting individuals. I’ve never understood why Ragetti wanted a fake eye, wooden or not. It won’t work, so what is the point?
