Can you please tell us the pinterest strategy? I mean not just use tailwind. But, how? I mean how many times should I repin per day and if it is a good idea. Should i only pin fresh pins? How many to the same URL or same board? How to keep our traffic stable and not going up and down, etc. Please explain cause me having tailwind tells me nothing if i dont know what to do with it. I hope you understand me. Stay safe
I've watched dozens of videos on how to use Pinterest for (mainly) Etsy shops over the last few days and didn't expect to find any new info I haven't heard yet, but this video was PACKED with useful information AND some great inspo on how to create more Pins for the same product. Amazing video, thank you!!
I wish I would have found you yesterday. Using some outdated advice, my Pinterest account was suspended within 20 mins of pinning. :( Thank you for making a clear, concise video with relevant, accurate info!
Thanks so much for the great content! As a newbie in using Pinterest, this is so easy to understand and the strategy of creating fresh pins is also mind blown! 💓
Thanks for another clear and completely cohesive, coherent video. I am going to work organize my pin templates and image files so I can outsource fresh pin creation.
Thanks so much for making this video! I have been loosing alot of traffic on Pinterest since the changes and didn't know what to do! Now I feel like I have a good plan for pinning and can start getting that traffic back!
I love this so much! You broke it down so well and you're saving people so much time by sharing how to create multiple fresh pins with the same images. Loving your videos Deborah! Officially new subscriber here :)
This is such a helpful and informative video that I needed to start my Pintrest shop account with a bang. Thank-you so much as usual Deb! I want to ask how do you link your Etsy shop promoting strategy to Pintrest (and to instagram) effectively. I'm also not sure if this is a silly question but how do you manage promoting your shop using Pintrest and Instagram simultaneously (two visual promoting mediums) so that your content is fresh, helpful to your ideal customer yet not repetitive? Now this is overwhelming me!
Thanks so much for the kind words! Everyone is going to have a different workflow, so we don't have a specific one to prescribe to you. Tailwind and Canva are obviously 2 great tools that have the capabilities to help you stay organized & systematized. I've seen some HQ members share their systems/workflows in the Community, so I'm sure you'd get lots of tips & suggestions if you post your question there! ☺️ - L
Very helpful, thank you. I use the Canva 'video zoom' feature on some of my photos for social media, so it's good to know that I can use it on Pinterest too! Many thanks - great content as always x
Probably (surely actually) the best video I washed about Pinterest! Your explanations are clear, you go straight to the point and you offer real solutions! Thank you very much Deb 💥💪💥
Omigosh! and the video (photo) trick! I hadn't even watched your full video yet and I thought it was fantastic. The video trick and tool you mentioned are icing on the cake- thank you!!
I've been working with this video for a week. I forgot about Pinterest. Thanks Deborah for all the info. I could not make the animated image in pixteller , I could easily do it with the zoom button in powerpoint. I continue the videos and work.
Yikes! You're definitely not alone, Pinterest is changing fast and we need to keep up with it! I hope the new pins will help, don't forget to also do keyword research to help them go even further! All the best! :-)
Thank you for this very useful information.I've been doing what you said for a few months. Usually; 6 fresh pins+6 fresh pins+6 fresh pins+6 templates+3 videos I have a question about this; Can I use these pins, templates or videos randomly? (for ex.: 6 pins+1 video+3 templates+6 pin ....etc.) Thank you for all
Thanks for the question! We actually answer this question & more in the Pinterest course here www.hq.tizzit.co/pinterest-marketing-for-handmade-shops/ :) it also comes with a spreadsheet template! - L
thank you so much Deborah, your videos are amazing! I have a question about the variety of pins we should create. I m very new to Pinterest and trying to figur out how to show my products from etzy. what if i want to be recognizable on each pin and I put my slogan and logo on each pin? so far I did like this, I change the products and the pictures but I still have in all my pins the same slogan in the upper part of the picture and the same logo. The pictures of the products are different but still, I m afraid that Pinterest don't see my pins as fresh ones. Do you think I can still use that slogan and logo so I can be recognized ? thank you so much for your help!
Thanks for reaching out! We cover all this and more in our Pinterest course, which you can find here www.hq.tizzit.co/pinterest-marketing-for-handmade-shops/ :) hope this helps! - L
Thank you so much for this video. However, I have a question. What text should you be using on the pins? Should it be a keyword? For example, if I had a funny German language coffee mug, should the text say "funny German coffee mug"? Or should it be a call to action? When I see people pinning coffee mugs I don't see many people branding their images, should I do like everyone else?
Thanks for the question! We cover this + more in our Pinterest Mastery course here 👉 www.hq.tizzit.co/pinterest-marketing-for-handmade-shops/ ☺️ hope this helps! - L
Hi Elizabeth! Thank you for watching! Once you pin a pin on Pinterest, you can then save it to other boards or you can schedule it via a tool like Tailwind so you don't need to log in to Pinterest and do it manually :-)
Hi thanks for this helpful video. What do you mean with pinning the boards in 2 days of interval. Does it for group boards or the boards that I create or both 😄
Hello!! Thanks for the video!!Its really helpful... I made a huge mistake..When i upload an organic pin i pin it to almost 12 boards at the same time!! I think pinterest thinks i am spam and now i get no impressions no outbound clicks no nothing!! How do i deal with that?
That’s ok, Pinterest is forgiving, but make sure you stop and start following the recommended guidelines moving forward - Pinterest is a great tool to help you do this - my next video will be all about it (next week) so make sure you check it out!
Hi Deb! What does this mean for the URL linked to these? If I want to schedule these pins but lead to the same product page, I’m assuming this means we cannot do this daily. Would I have to space them out ?
Great video! So do you pin all 24 of those to all your relevant boards on pinterest? Also, have you used the newer pinterest story? I feel like that would be a game changer for my shop but currently I can't include a link to my etsy on stories - don't know if it's like that for you as well!
Thank you for watching! Yes, you want to pin all 24 of them but you definitely want to space them out - I would recommend using at least a 2 day interval between them. As for story pins, they don't have a link by design so you won't be able to link them to your Etsy shop or anywhere else. Hope it helps!
Another quick question because I do not use tailwind at the moment, is it ok to re-pin the “fresh pin” to the subsequent boards. Or should I “create a pin” to pin to each of the 2-10 relevant boards. I watched another video saying Pinterest doesnt want you to re-pin your own pins which is what I’ve always done since I don’t have tailwind.
Are all of these fresh pins being added to your own boards, even one where you already have a pin showing that product, or are you trying to find group boards where you can pin them elsewhere?
Yes you can add pins for the same products to the same board/your boards as long as they have different/fresh designs. Group boards can work too but not as efficient as they used to be - if a group board is a good fit for your product keep using it - but if it doesn’t get you impressions and clicks, let it go! We have a course specifically dedicated to Pinterest questions like these + more in case you're interested :)
I keep putting this off and need to stop!! I have 2 templates I go between but obviously, I need more to keep up with Pinterest. I do have questions tho, it considered “compliant” to do the 24 fresh pins across the same 10 relevant boards? And if so, what intervals? Just wondering how quickly I should be pinning out all 24 variations.
Great video. Thank you as it was very helpful. just a quick question for you or anyone - I have a product board just for my own shops items but when I create new pins for those items just to update them do I delete those pins I'm replacing or can I just update those pins with new images? Thank you x
Hi Glenn! Don't delete your own pins from Pinterest, you never know when they can catch on :) I'd suggest simply creating new ones and adding them to that board. Hope it helps! - Alicja from Team Tizzit
Hi Gwyn! Great question! You can upload your pins to Pinterest or a scheduler like Tailwind. They don't need to be on your website, they just need to link to it.
Hello! I am super new to Pinterest and don't know anything. Where do these pins go? How should you set up your boards? I sell stickers/ teeshirts/mugs/cards... should all my pins for my brand be in one board or should every board represent a different section? Thank you
Hi Adam, these are great and perfectly normal questions to ask if you are just getting started! It'd be difficult to answer it all in this comment but I am sure other creators have recorded videos on RU-vid about those :-) I cover all this and more inside this Pinterest course => www.hq.tizzit.co/dashboard/pinterest-for-makers-101/
Hi! Great advice! I have a question... When I want to finally create those pins should I click the "Pinterest" button on Etsy or copy the url from my listing and click create pin in my actual Pinterest account?.. The first would save time regarding the title and description but I guess the second is the way to go?.. Plz help, I am confused! 😁
Both works - but I prefer to create directly within Pinterest or Tailwind so you can upload your own beautifully created, just-for-Pinterest graphic :-)
Oh that's cool! I knew you could add animations to them like text animations, graphics, etc. but didn't know you could animate an actual image (zooming in, out, etc.) Really nice! I am glad they're onto it :-)
Deborah Engelmajer it might be kinda new, I’ve used it! You can also now add video and edit actual video. I’ve been playing around with it a lot. It’s really great for making a lot of quick videos for social media. I’ve been batching them. Great video by the way!!
In this case, I would focus on promoting collections, categories and themes within your shop instead of particular products - this way even if one item is sold out, hopefully the URL they've clicked will still work and house other, similar items they may be interested in. Pinterest users love roundups and ideas, so you can make some awesome pins that will work for you for a long time (of course if you can find recurring themes within your product collections). - Alicja from the Tizzit Team
