My avh-4200 just went out. Had it for a year. They said the firmware upgrade was done in August and I didn't know Who knows to check k for firmware upgrades. Anyway...I just bought this 4500 for my Denali. Cant wait to hook this thing up. Looks like a great upgrade. Same.wire.connextuons so set up should be simple. Your videos always are on point . Thanks. I like the plugs dint go directly in the back of the radio. Makes install way easier.
Thanks Dean. I want this stereo. But it has way way more than my AVH-X4500T. I got it for my 30th birthday. I'm going to be 36 now and I want to up grade again. It's crazy it's been 6 years and look how much has changed...
Personally I feel that these double din stereos should be upgraded every 2 years in our cars. Just sell your current stereo , add some cash on top and buy a same year stereo.
Where can I get a list of ALL of the 2019 Pioneer model releases? The Pioneer website is trash and doesn't really help me figure which stereos are the latest and greatest.
maybe too late for this but when it comes to keeping up to date with car audio companies and releases is follow their social media. they usually announce releases, i have better luck with following companies on facebook!
Appears to have a lot of features like the 80prs but a little extra.. Pioneer always delivers with their higher end head units.. never disappointing 👌🤙

My question is about the gps antena, should I connect it or not? I don’t really need with apple car play and Waze app! Is there any reason why I should connect the antenna? Thx

I have the 4400NEX and am interested to know what the differences are between the 4400 and the 4500. Are there ANY (harnesses, remote, internals,etc.)? Secondly, how do you save an eq setting to custom 2 by starting from one of the presets? Thanks
My Samsung Galaxy S8+ does try to connect wirelessly with the 4500NEX. Google maps seem to pop up on my screen. After a bit I get a message about a poor connection with the phone. I may try keeping it closer?? I did use a wire to first hook my phone up to it....to try the Android Auto. Wired was how I was going to use it.

@@timh3327 Loving it and I'm probably not using it to its full potential. Someone more knowledgeable may be able to fine tune it more. Not that it sounds bad by any means, just knowing my limitations. I would not pay extra for the map feature since you can connect with your phone anyway.
Like the 8100 or 8200 can you hold MODE to shut the screen off without killing audio? While night driving I like to shut the screen off but other brands don’t.
I purchased a car with this radio already installed. The thing that I am having problems with is that every time I turn the car on, I have to put the radio and my iPhone on search mode to find each other, it doesn’t happen automatically, which drives me insane. The radio shows the phone of the previous owner and I have tried to delete it but to no avail.
Informative video , appreciated. If I only uses the main harness ( not used the rca cables because I don’t uses rear panels or video sources ) , would this affect the installation of this pioneer model ? Please advice .

Hi. Why is the navigation antenna included if this unit doesn't have navigation? Shouldn't the antenna be included with the navigation module (AVIC-U280) instead?

Hi, i have a 2013 Kia Optima SXL with the navigation radio and i an a Android guy. I am looking for a Kenwood or Pioneer radio that will accept my steering wheel functions and factory rear camera, also a radio i can install Android Apps to......What is your recommendation for the best radio for me to upgrade to? I've got one of these and it's been great. Just had some major transmission work (i.e. battery was disconnected for duration) and now the unit seems to forget which track I was listening too after every shutdown/startup. Tried the factory reset button, SD/USB reformats and different track options. No luck. Any thoughts?
Does the dmh have better resolution? I installed a 2660nex and it looks clearer than the 4500nex. I'm just assuming this from the videos I've watched. I haven't seen the 4500nex in person.

Does the Pioneer W6500 NEX have the ability to reverse image in setting for the front camera in the camera setting like some of the other pioneer radios? I don’t see it anywhere in the camera setting.
Should the audio cable from my Maestro RR box be connected to the audio input on the rear of the Pioneer 4500NEX or should it be plugged in to the audio input on the A/V wire bundle?
Mostly the same features but the dmh lost automatic time alignment, only has one usb c input, and no cd/dvd player. It does however have a capacitive touch screen, and an updated interface with widgets and a web browser.
Do I have to connect the pink wire (VSS/Vehicle Speed Signal) to use Android Auto Wireless/Apple CarPlay? My vehicle's VSS is not connected to the car's head unit connector, it's underneath the passenger side dash. If VSS needs to be connected, what is your recommendation on making this connection?

I ended up getting a RF 600X5. It’s 729 rms. I think I need a different sub. I tried to take advantage of the center rear deck location with a 4ohm dvc 8” power bass wired for 2ohms. Problem is that the amp clips really bad when the volume is up and the bass kicks in. I’ve tried tweaking it here and there (sub level at head unit, eq, amp gain, punch eq, and bass knob) I always have to chase a good bass response. Any suggestions?
I'm upgrading to AVH 4500nex from sph da100, Ram 1500 with corresponding PACSWC interface. Will it be plug and play or do I have some rewiring in my future?
Yes as long as you by pass the parking brake but the quality is suck though very slow and lack not like you using the phone it’s like you using the Samsung galaxy S2

Do you know if when connecting via weblink and you mirror your phone to the radio if it will display on the rear entertainment? I have an above head dvd player and 2 headrest monitors. Everything can run individually or whatever the head unit displays.
Just installed this unit. Great video very informative, on point! Have Subscribed. One thing I have noticed when playing movie media from my phone in mp4 format, via the usb input, the video is not very smooth sometimes. Would this be smoother if I utilized the HDMI input?
If you play through your phone, your phone handles the processing as opposed to using the USB drive, which depends on the headunit processor. So the phone will be smoother.
Has anyone had troubles with notifications amd texts not showing up on screen? My s10 worked perfectly then I switched to an s21 and it quit working. I tried different apps, I have all permissions allowed on my phone, tried a factory reset on the head unit, there is no firmware update. Any ideas??? This is pretty important feature for keeping eyes on the road!
You mentioned the GPS antenna and then failed go back to it. So I'll ask what others have asked. Why does a radio without navigation, some with a GPS antenna.

That is the big difference. The other differences is in the eq, it now as save setting and network mode. On the back end they finally added the audio grade components.
