I thought when they changed the name they would release all the Premium stuff under PioneerDJ and more budget stuff under the AlphaTheta monika, much like Rane/Numark ect ect. Then they dropped the Omnis Duo, a £700 controller for £1400 LOL. Well not putting the Lottery on this week xD
I hate when people think that all change is good. Companies make changes that put themselves out of business all the time. Is that good change? They had pretty much mastered the controller look and feel and layout. All they had to do was upgrade the internals and make them thinner and lighter. But they just have to go and reinvent the wheel😢.
Hi pal, been getting a lot of skip when cuing up a track, any chance you’d do a video on setting up a deck for mixing ?( setting up the tone arm And balancing the platter etc )
Branding is important. The Pioneer name has been synonymous with quality and professionalism for decades. They rename it to this “AlphaTheta”. Which is not a pleasant sounding word to say first of all. It sounds like they are trying to hard to sound futuristic. Then they start this era with flop drops like the opus quad which also doesn’t sound very pleasant to say. The new controllers look like post modern artsy minimalistic toys with no performance features that are worth the price of the gear over other controllers and trash build quality. They are sabotaging and botching their company. These new decks suck period.
