The last option always appears as a Red Centipede, but there is another creature that also counts for that slot. Which one is worse is... relative.

All my suggestions are things you either haven't figured out yet or another person hinted at. But for me I like to: Bring buddies. Scavs aren't the worst but lizards oneshot centipedes and help clear paths if you get a couple.

So res centipedes take like twenty spear hits to kill along with having armor plates lined up on its body that only fall off when you hit them so you not only do you have to run around in panic but you also have to hit the one spot the armor fell off of, don’t do this it’s not worth it, instead get a spore puff and hit it in the face with one, preferably while it’s moving so it’s whole body is covered. This will cause it to writhe around in pain for about a minute until it dies. Hope this helps

fun fact: for the red centipede quest, you could've also tried eating an aquapede (one of those big swimming centipedes you found in shoreline ages ago), as for whatever reason it counts either of them for that entry

"Pipeyard isn't real, it can't hurt you" Pipeyard: This is an underrated region, I'd consider it roughly a mid-game area? But it has several connections (and a few distinct 'themes') which make it an interesting optional route for various slugcats... most players skip over it though, so I was very excited to see you find it by accident. There are strategies to killing centipedes. But you are also the Gourmand, and there is very little that resists a well-placed body slam. 34:14 Aww, the scavengers helped you out. Those drill shafts are wall-jump-able with some slugcats, I'm sure I've done it before. Gourmand might be too slow/heavy to gain height though. You probably could've made it with the mushroom? Anyway, it all worked out since you made it to a new shelter.

You didn't actually "get" worst option. You can always choose whichever you want, despite only one being listed at a time.

A new region to add to the map, i wonder where else this region connects? Next episode feels like it'll be the last one, possibly? You only need to get your last item for the foodquest and then travel through subterranean. If you do the gourmand exclusive pearl you'll probably have too much footage to put into one episode (or you make it really long?). Do you have plans for what the next slugcat will be? Really hoping for Spearmaster since i personally think you wouldn't like Artificer as much. I like how you get a foreboding feeling from this region, it does fit quite well.

Since there are lots of centipede shenanigans, I will now post a (spoiler-free) centipede fact until you slay the red beast :D The word centipede translates to "a hundred feet". The green flying centipedes in Rain World are called "centiwings", which therefore means "a hundred wings". Now, if we look at the aquatic centipedes, we could assume, that they are called "centifins". But no, they aren't. They were wisely named " aquapedes" - "wAtEr FeEt"

Pipeyard: one of the regions added in downpour, one of the ones I know the least about from rare visits. Its beatiful, but ive never enjoyed its traversal. The two options are the red centipede (one is available in pipeyard actually) and the aquapede. The aquapede is far worse in my opinion, especially as gourmand who can barely swim when hes tired. There IS a way to insta-kill all the insects in the game, but I'll only give that information if your stuck and want it :) Edit: Im pretty sure the red centipede is always the one thats displayed, and either will count.
