The 2013 British Touring Car season was an unforgettable campaign for both Andrew Jordan and the Independent, family run, Pirtek Racing team.
Andrew retained the Independents' Trophy title he won in 2012 but more impressively, went on to become the youngest ever person to claim the main title, the 2013 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Drivers Championship.
Aside from celebrating Andrew's success as a driver, Pirtek Racing had a successful season on and off the track. Firstly by reclaiming their second ever Independent Teams Trophy title with the NGTC Honda Civic. They then went on to beat off the likes of Red Bull Racing F1 team to win the Teamwork Award at the Motorsport Industry Association annual Business Excellence Awards, as well as the BRDC Colin Chapman Trophy for 'Team Spirit Performance Of the Season'.
With Pirtek Racing behind him & both Individual BTCC driver awards under his arm, Andrew Jordan went on to win further recognition by winning the Autosport Award for National Driver of the Year 2013 (as voted for by readers of Autosport magazine), the Racing Drivers Club (BRDC) John Cobb Trophy for the 'Best Performance By A British Driver' and the Guild of Motoring Writers 'Driver of the Year.'
Quite a year for all involved and a marker with which everyone at Pirtek Racing will aim to achieve and beat once again in 2014.
