It’s not the manufacture. It’s the company buying the part. The bigger the tolerances the cheaper the part can be bought. I agree with u 100% about bringing things back to the US. I too would buy a part somewhat more expensive if it was a good quality part and fit like it should. Good video.
I know this all too well. I agree , what ever happened to quality ? He's the kicker, I USED to work in a large CNC shop as a quality control inspector. USED to !
The person that is assembling this valve cover is also responsible. Common sense goes a long way , tell your supervisor this shit is not going to work, if he don’t give a crap , tell his supervisor, if you get fired , you don’t belong there , get the hell out. You deserve better…
LOl, Well I am the supervisor and unfortunately you can complain to the vendors until your blue in the face. They don't care and if you want to stay in business you as a professional do what you have to do to get the job done properly. I wish I lived in a perfect world and everything was perfect, but I don't. 🤬
I am talking about the employee working for the manufacture, thtat is selling the product not you buying from the manufacturer. The employee himself had to have common sense assembling this product.. and talking with his supervisor.
@@nelsongarcia4763That is a very true statement and seems like a common sense one, but it also seems people lack that now 🙁 Thank you for following Sir !!!
We measured everything and its the O Rings. I don't know how that can even be a thing, but it is. They must bid out all the parts and buy form the cheapest source.
Well, is it the baffle or the breather or wrong size O-rings🤔 Can't tell by your breather test. Need to do some swapping of the breathers and break-out the micro's 💁♂️
@@ransombauman4157 Actually, I've built breathers and you start with a good length of piping that you get a certain yield from and pipe stays pretty consistent and the actual baffle is probably CNC'd so that's usually consistent so my guess was there's plenty of O-rings that could fit in baffle and look fine till you go to install breather. 💁♂️
Yes very good platform for big HP. Yes they are still made by Allpontiac in Virginia. All depends on the application, but iron even though its heavy is the best choice for HP.
