I did not see it that way at all, I saw her as blaming herself and she raised them correctly. The breed is very unpredictable. The mistake I see that we can all learn from is to monitor and restrict contact with young children.

If 20% of dogs are Pitbulls and those dogs are physically strong, then there will be a greater percentage of bites from Pitbulls (because there are more of them) and due to the strength of the dogs, those bits will inflect more damage. This is even worse when said dogs are overbred. You know what is ten times more likely to bite? A Chihuahua. But it isn't powerful enough to seriously injure you. Should Chihuahuas be banned? @@TheBaBaTV It's not. Read these stories and often you'll hear neighbours, friends and family members of those involved swear up and down that those dogs were loved, well cared for, gentle and obedient. Bad ownership makes the risk of an incident more likely, but it is not the cause.

Understandable. My aunt has a staffy. He’s the sweetest thing but so energetic it’s crazy! Definitely not a dog gentle enough to be around young children.

That's just the type of person who would own a dog like this, as sad it is to say. They'll tell you your family, your pets or even you yourself deserved to be attacked if it was a pit bull that did it. These hypocrites preach about not hating any specific breeds and how unfair it is to single out pit bulls while they trash talk chihuahuas.

Can you believe there are pit owners here in N.C. that are fighting for the rights to get their 2 dogs back after they killed their neighbor?! A 7 year old girl & they seriously injured her mother! I signed the petition to have them euthanized already. This happened 4- 5 months ago & those dogs are still being cared for at the shelter. Those Pitts should've been euthanized the same day they killed that little girl! & the owners must be out of their minds to want the dogs back now.

@@sukma5277 They finally euthanized the dogs, thank god. I dont think the dog owners got charged with anything& that's a shame.

@Freeman Bastille God made the breed and by god he will keep them where i live they are common look up hulk the largest pit bull they are sweet and kind but pits are protect dogs!

ALL kids cry, it’s the very NATURE of kids to cry, for ANY reason. Any dog raised around kids will know that kids are typically crying, so that’s no excuse to say the kid triggered the attack by crying.

The only responcibility lies on a human, because the dog reads even the emoti ons of his owner. If they are negative to the person ( a child in this case) the dog will bite. It happened to me. My brother wasn't glad much of my arrival at my parents house after their death, alltough he never showed that to me, but I feel it and his dog was very agressive towards me inspite of I was feeding him. One day the dog brought the chain and I was beaten. It was tough. My brother stopped the dog, but I saw in his eyes smth like satisfection, though he verbally never gave a command to attack me. That was my case. Take care!
