i have a question if i can her a little bit of tapping from my engine can i do this to stop it from make a straight noise like i think its the rod a little bit
Sounds like a dumb novice question but when you are lining up the marks on the flywheel and the casing, which mark on the flywheel do you line up as there are several including a "T" and an "F" along with a few other marks. I'm new to all this and just want to broaden my knowledge. Thanks 😁👍🏼
hello my pitbike has a problem with a oil leak on my spark plug tip inside it shuts down while riding and downshift a gear and I think it shouldn't be doing that it. would be great if u can help me with this I haven't ridden it for a long time
you do not need to remove the stator cover or cam sprocket cover either. just remove both valve covers and spark plug. then kick over the engine until one valve opens then udjust the opposite valve.
jay7264 its very important that the bikes at tdc but u r right no need to take off cam sprocket cover just fly wheel needed also that bike must have been new and dry cause if the correct amount of oil was in it when he took off exhaust valve cover itd have pissed out

@Dean Evs Yes it does my oil out bike just stalled when I was riding in a field and just would not start what I did to get it working back to its full potential was remove all the petrol and all of the engine oil, remove the carb and clean it out with white spirit, put the carb back together after clean and add back on to the bike, I then removed the spark plug and cleaned that with petrol and cleaned inside the hole, I then followed this guide to adjusting the tappets as shown in the video I then fitted everything back together and the bike started and went better than ever :)
Why did you set it on the f mark? I was told the t mark! T is tdc? F is for when it the fly wheel tells the bike to fire? I'm confused more? Am I as per usual over thinking it just my bike has the f and t?🙇🙇🙇
@@airbornerat I use T on my flywheel I guess its a upgraded flywheel as he says the notch nearest the letter so his may not have the T if u have a T use the mark at T
Please do a video on how to set your carb up and adjust the airflow/idle screws. Can't find a decent video to explain it properly. More maintenance videos PLEASE
Blocked pilot jet? Clean carb out to start with. Check idle speed adjustment and air/fuel mixture screw. Turn it all way in till very lightly seats an then come back out 1.5 or 2 turns, the bike will now run to then be able to adjust precisely by listening to the engine.
my cam sprocket and flywheel don't line up together, if the flywheel is aligned with the engine marking then the cam isn't and vice versa. is this a problem, if so how do i fix it?
@@Morcego538 i own a kxd125 but i tuned the valves to .004 .006 like stated in this video but its doesnt sound right, but it ran fine no issues so i upgraded my carb from pz19 to the 26mm one and now it runs terrible so iv ordered another pz19 brand new carb
@@jameshalford4699 Maybe a 26 mm carb is to big for yours to much air intake, but I now that wen you install a bigger carb you need to change the jet screw to a bigger one, and install a bigger filter too, to let more air intake and more gas, mine is running on a mikuni 24 mm it’s the one that came from stock with her and an airfilter that looks like a UNI filter but I’m not sure if it is really a UNI, and it works really good alot of power, and makes a really good sound. There are carburetor kits that come with all this parts you need to change, the jet and all that.
@@Morcego538 i wasnt bothered about power mate im happy with it standard as i only use it for stunting in the car park i needed a new air filter so it was only like a extra £10 for a bigger carb so i thought id try it so i jusy ordered another pz19 which is the standard i beleive

Hi mate got a m2r 140 done a top end rebuild put it all back together new gaskets set timing as soon as I do head bolts up engine will only turn half way in both directions then have a banging sound if I undo the head bolts it spins fine any ideas.
my bike has a lost of power the other day i was riding in 3 rd and she tried to lock up and theni shifted into 4th and she cut off im not sure why i changed the oil out but it was brand new and i refilled with newer oil and still had the same problem the bike smokes like a 2 stroke and its a 4 stroke it wont reach full not even half rpms and i changed the spark plug because it was black but im gonna take it apart maybe today to see whats up with it because she has never acted this way its an 4 month old bike and she just started acting like this yesterday

That engine is different than a Honda cub engines cam timing is well different stomp use the z140cam higher lobes big valves he's going on the service manual from stomp if you check out the kayo website that is the manufacturer of stomp pit bike frames stomp get yx engine manufacturer to put a w racing brand cam in to it at the factory with stiffer springs and retainers basically the engines are race engines not standard by any means his engine is second generation yx engine you have 123 generation engines different years of production mate I checked with mine and mine has f,t on the flywheel t is spot on with the timing on the flywheel and cam but it is set at what he's talking about and mine is nearly brand new aswel
It's nonsense! when adjusting the valve clearances, the motor must rotate to the T position, I adjust the clearances IN 0.05mm and EX 0.05mm, when using IN 0.10mm and EX 0.15mm the valve tappets are knocking jackhammer ! I apologize for any mistakes in English I'm from the Czech Republic
my stomp 140 has a carb problem. it runs fine up the revs but when you try an max it out it sounds like it's hitting a rev limiter and won't give more power. it's only just started doing it. any suggestions would be great. thanks.
Gary Lowe do you know where the ecu is. Just follow the wire up from the spark plug. Make sure they are all pluged in tight and not loose. Thats whay was wrong with mine
