One thing blows my mind. Melodyne is one of the best and most using software according to pitch correction in the world, but there are so few comments and likes. Lets hype this channel! :D Rich is always so great there.
Rich, great job as usual. Every time I watch one of your videos I pick up another tip or two. The Melodyne user interface looks so simple but is INCREDIBLY powerful under the hood.

Excellent video presentation. As a person that is new to Melodyne using Melodyne Essentials I appreciate using Essential to demonstrate both the interface and the user tools. You presented a lot of information in a very short period of time. This is a video I will watch multiple times to make sure I completely understand how to use this wonderful tool.
When I discovered Melodyne and its ability to edit polyphonic audio, it was one of those “this is impossible” moments. I cannot imagine not having it. Even after owning it since maybe 2009 or so, I still am learning things it can do.
I've been using Melodyne for about 15 years, and I can still learn a couple tips from a beginner video. Might be my favourite software, and that's saying something.
Great video, I just started with Melodyne Essential in Studio One 6.5 Pro. And I was just trying and looking around in the plug-in. But this video helps me a lot to directly come to the point wihtout wasting time.

I have audio of a cello recording that also picked up some violin that was further away. Melodyne is able to demonstrate this with transparent blobs. Is there any way to delete these unwanted notes?
Rich, I watch all your videos, even when I think I know what I'm doing. Case in point, hitting the "S" to split notes is awesome, except that's not working in my version of Melodyne. I'm running windows 10, and the latest version of Melodyne Studio. Do you know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance! You're videos are great!
When I'm editing notes, using the arrow tool, trying to select a note, the tool keeps switching to the double arrow with the circle in the center and won't let me select the note. Very annoying..how do I stop the program from doing this...it really slows down the editing process..
I am using Mixbus 32C version 8. I added Melodyne to the vocal track. I click on the track to open the Melodyne UI and nothing is displayed in Melodyne. The grid that Rich shows at the start of the video is completely blank for me. For a beginner tutorial, it would have been useful to discuss what you have to do to get the waveform to appear in the user interface. After 30 minutes of trying, I get nothing and I am stumped.
Hi there... I have Melodyne assistance, using Reaper... after I imported a track into Melodyne, how do I reimport, if I have new takes on the track? I cannot find this, and I have looked! Even removing and re-adding Melodyne seems to keep the track data and not 'refresh' with the new recordings. Thank you.
HEY! I am trying to download the trial version of Melodyne but it won't let me do anything without a serial number, where is the serial number? Do I have to make an account with another website (Avid) in order to use it?

Hi, a basic question - I am able to open the file in a standalone app, but I couldn’t find the way to open it directly inside the project in Logic Pro X ( 10.6.3 )…..how should I do this…? Thanks a lot.
You can either arm the ‘Transfer’ button in the Melodyne plug-in and play through your audio, or use the ARA version of Melodyne. If you need help with this, please feel free to contact our support team: www.celemony.com/support
@@celemony Thanks a lot, I was able to make one step forward, I opened the vocal track in Logic after TRANSFER, but all the tones were in one line, very different compared to standalone version. Also, I still don't understand what is ARA version....ok, I will continue with the support link....
hey, uh.... very dumb question, but, how do you get Melodyne to actually play the track you imported....? I bought Studio, and nothing will play. I don't have a DAW yet, but I didn't need one on Essentials. ANY Help, I checked the shortcuts under preferences, and it said press Return. Did nothing. Of course I pressed the play button, I control A selected the entire audio... pressed play, tried to move a sound up and down to see if it automatically played the note... No... NOTHING.... is there any kind of setting or mode I have to have it in to play it?

@@celemony Thank you for responding, I didn't have a mic or anything connected, and when I plugged it in and connected to the input, it worked. Not sure why, but, I guess it required an input.

(in both ****autotune**** and ****melodyne****)...................................................i need ******THE BUTTON******* in booth programs......that allows you to ******OVERWRITE********* melodies on midi keyboard........(like "input midi from scratch" or something like that)......... ............ ........... ........... PLEASE and THANK YOU...........
@@celemony.......... i did a tuturial for melodyne many years ago i think it was called "core melodyne 101" and i was able to find the button it was in a top rightish menu at the top of the screen... like 3/4 of the way right on the screen at the top is the menu , ... and then it is like 3/4 of the way down the menu..........i dont have melodyne yet so i cant figure out what this button is........but im not going to buy melodyne unless i know that it has the button because that is my primary use for it.............
@@celemony i believe in an older version of melodyne there was an option called *******TARGET NOTES VIA MIDI******* in the options menu..........but i have read that is not there any more in newer versions............does somebody know about this...??????......
