My first thoughts exactly. Dogs need exercise, this is great way for the little Pittie. Did you see her just bobbing up and down in the pool, and push herself off the stair with her feet. What a smart dog. I have a Pittie. He is a wuss and runs in the house when we’re in the pool, which is quite often. We live in Florida.

Exactly what I was thinking. Dog seems fun and harmless, but imagine one day Pearl decides to 'play hard' with the neighbours toddler and the owner yells her to stop, and Pearl blissfully continues to whip her her from side to side in sync with the child's terrified cries. Dogs are first and foremost pets, then friends. Just like parents who seem to forget that fact about their human children. They need to KNOW YOU are the boss and that when YOU give them a command it happens (the pets, it's a little more subtle with kids). As it stands, Pearl has absolutely no respect for her owner and this can spell real danger when it comes to animals.

Ten seconds in, that was my reaction. The type of owner who negotiates with their dog. This dog is out of her control/

I recommend going to a lake with a friend who has a dog that already likes to swim. Usually watching another dog do it encourages yours too. It worked with my staff/hound mix.

If I was this woman I would have a solution to mentally distract Pearl:I would make like a doggy bathroom with 2 doors:One opens behind the pool,other one goes directly into the house,so she doesn't get there and mentally I can "enchant" and equilibrate her mind to not get sad
