During kazu's banner, i had saved enough primos for 90 wishes. the thing is, i got at hard pity and in the last 10 pulls i lost the 50/50 to jean. now i'm at 65 pity and got enough primos for almost 30 pulls. i'll pull to get tighnari (most probably i'll get him in 2 10 pulls) and then hope for the best in zhongli's banner to get him early and not lose the 50/50 on his banner.

I have a question that has been on my mind this past few days. I hope someone can answer me. So for example you're at 50 pity on the shogun's banner. Then you cannot do anymore pulls since you don't have any. The limited banner ends. Will your pity reset once the banner comes again? Or does it stay?
My monke brain couldn't comprehand the pity system because for some reason people make it feel complicated but you explained it very clearly so thank you.
I remember when you and other people said to pull for Ganyu or Xiao (if I want him more) I simp for Xiao and today I asked my friend, is it okay to have two anemos in my team.She said it’s okay because she has two anemos too.I wished for Xiao and the first 10 pulls I got him,I’m trying to save up again for Ganyu’s banner.Not sure will I get enough primos to get another pity
Guys pls question if I lost 50/50 it should in next banner 100% ok the question if I in phase one of the update the next banner is the in phase 2 (100%) or in the panners of the next update or any next banners I can get 100% and this benefit is with me until I got a 5 star?
Really wow. Most of the time. Its 70 to 80. I'd say between 75 to 80 but 90 is possible but most of the time its 70 to 80. If you watch summon videos pretty much everyone expects a 5 star at 70 to 80 and not 90 anymore.
so if you get 5 star thats not on the banner before 90 wishes is the next 5 star going to be guaranteed to be the one on the banner and if so does pity reset if you get a 5 star not shown on the banner but in the drop list because that would be a big screw over.
All my friends who play Genshin always talk about pity’s and winning/losing the 50/50, and I would just sit there pretending to know what they were saying lmao thanks for this guide though!! It cleared a lot of things up for me :))
I stopped playing Genshin for a couple months, and I've now come back. I have multiple 5 star characters and pretty much understand how the pity system works, but I'm just confused because when I click on 'history' on the event character banner, I don't see my history of pulling those 5 stars.. Not even my last five star that I obtained, which was Raiden when she first came out. Did the history get reset at some point? I honestly can't remember how many pulls I did after getting Raiden so I won't know when I'm near 90 pulls... If anyone knows, please let me know, thanks :D
I lost my 50/50 on Raiden’s rerun banner to Jean, and now I’m trying to pull Venti. I have surpassed 90 pity with my last 50/50 win being Ganyu. I am now 91 pulls after getting Ganyu and after I lost my 50/50, i never got another 4* after Xiangling which was about 10 pulls ago. I am really confused and upset as I really need Venti for my team comp and without him, my team can’t work properly. I don’t understand why I don’t already have Venti as I’m on guaranteed. If anyone knows how it works or what i need to do, please tell me. I’m very upset about this 😭
I just have a question thats been going through my mind for a week now. So i have wished 55 times on the ganyu banner, when the 2.5 update comes and raiden and yae miko come are my 55 wishes going to reset or is my pity still 55?(I am going to pull for Raiden bc she OP :D

I’m guessing by run out of time you mean the promotional characters banner ends right? That means that you are guaranteed to get a promotional character in the next 90 wishes, the promotional character in this case will be any promotional character who’s banner you wish on its 100% up to you. The promotional character you missed/ran out of time on may have a rerun which you could wait for, or you could get another promotional character
Can mihoyo buff pity system where you get 5* characters in 30 instead 90. 90 is too much unless they add primo on weekly reputation for 500 primo. And 1,200 on commission
what if i just started playing genshin and i havent gotten a single 5* 🥲 (my only 5* is traveler) my recent 4* star pull was a weapon, so do i count from the my latest 4*?
i mostly understand this but i have a question, do u have seperate pity's for the limited and standered banner? like can u be in pity 64 for limited and 43 in standered (to put an example), or is the pity equal for both?
Considering that there’s basically a 50/50 on the standard banner as well between 5 star characters (including mona) and 5 star weapons your odds of getting mona on standard are basically the exact same as getting her on a limited banner. The only the difference being you’re guaranteed to get at least one standard banner 5* character by 270 wishes on standard assuming you only get 5* weapons before then, when in comparison on a limited banner you might only win 50/50s in 270 wishes and not get any standard banner characters but that’s literally it, the odds of you only getting weapons up until 270 wishes are pretty low anyways and even then the increase in chance of getting mona is extremely small) Tldr- not sure if you’re new or not so if you did know all this I’m sorry but if you are new I wanted to warn you since the probability is literally almost the exact same and you waste so much on standard, at the end of the day you can still do it if you want though just really not recommended

If the events gone .. that pity reset or continue ? For example I spend 70 wish on last event . Then they changed it .. can I wish more 30 wish to get that featured character in new event ?
When I was a noob I thought the character and weapon limited banners shared pity. I once had 65 pity and it was guaranteed. I just wished on the weapon banner I got a 5 star. I was sad because I wasted my pity for a 5 star I don’t need. I thought to my self that oh well my pity reset so why not just pull again. So I pulled on the character banner to “stack pity” and then I got the 5 star. It was during 1.6. I got klee but I really wanted kazuha.
One question, does pity transfer between banners. For example, if I got 70 pity on the Shogun banner and it ends, will I still have pity for the next banner or do I have to wait for the next shogun banner?

What if I got Kokomi and Keqing at the same 10 pull? The history says Keqing is the most recent but my friend said it would be 50/50 so I’m scared cause I don’t have enough wishes
My biggest question about this system is if the event banner and the standard banner share the same pity. So if I have 65 pity on event banner and I pull a 5 star on the standard banner the next time I pull on event banner will my pity be still at 65? Or will it go back to 0 because I just got a five star on the standard banner? In other words do you count pity from the last time you pulled a 5 star on a certain banner or do you count it from when you got a 5 star on any banner? Hope you can answer!!

Ahhh so that's why I got Keqing on Itto's banner! I was SO excited cus I really like Itto but sadly I got Keqing 😭 I never even use her ahhh it's already so hard to grind for primos, they shouldn't have made it 50/50 😭😭 But thank you SO MUCH for explaining. I'd really have to be careful next time
what happens if the first 50/50 is lost and then u get the character u want before the second 50/50 (or the 180th pull), does the pity reset or are u still guaranteed to get the one you want at 18th pull?
I still dont really understand how pity works. So I have already pulled over 60 times on the new zhongli banner. So is my pity over 60? Does the pity system work like that or am i just dumb
The pity resets from your most recent 5 star character. And starts at 0 when you create your account. So if you count the amount of wishes since your last 5 star, thats how much pity you have. If you never got a 5 star on the character event banner, then you would count all the wishes you've done. Hopefully this clears things up.

So I've a quick question: if u wanted to get a five star character, and say you were doing 10× pulls instead of 1× pulls, you would need to wish 9 times, right? Since 10x9 equals 90 Or if you were doing single pulls, you'd wish 90 times, right? Since 1x90 is 90? Or no?
Either way it's all the same! You can do 10x pulls and 1x pulls and it all totals to 90! (If you want to do 90 pulls wish 1x wishes, you can do that, but it will take a long time. If you want it to go faster, you can do 10x wishes 9 times.) I hope this clarifies things a bit more

I have a question: On the previous banners(hu tao and albedo)when I wish I first lose 50/50 and the 30 wishes later I get the character I lost now on zhonglis banner does that mean that I get zhongli in 30 wishes?
No, sadly it doesn't. If you lost the 50/50 you have to wish up to 90 more times on the event banner to get him. There's still a chance you might get him early just like last time, but the maximum amount of pulls you have to do to get zhongli is 90.
So I’m new to Genshin and still trying to learn everything. I really want Xiao but unfortunately didn’t start playing again till literally a week after his banner. Am I still able to get him somehow or would I have to wait till his next rerun?
Today something happen to me very weird when i wish for ganyu my last wish 5star was raiden banner i lost 50/50 and get qiqi then times pass and i know i hav guarantee pity so i make 75 in total with the passing banners and stop .Now suppose the next 15 wishes will be the guarantee i wish for ganyu do a 10 pull but didnt count i dont know why is like all those wishes disappear i spent 9k gems to get the character but the guarantee was there but it wasnt just with only 20 wishes knowing in the game i already made 75wishes i was so sad i was saving for yae i have 15k gems but now i had 24k now i have to beat 50/50 to get her 180 wishes is the least you need for a guarantee character so this was really weird what happen please everyone be careful with your wishes i think mihoyo delete your wishes you made in the past and you have to start from to 0 to 90 to get your character this happen to me today for a strange reason 😑
Same happen to me if i count my previous 5 star loss to keqing. And count after kewing im at 90 but still havent gotten ganyu. I spent $50 with first time bonus. Its much expensive in my country if i convert to my currrncy. I regret everything.
