Didn't realise that formatting as an Excel table results in them automatically expanding as new data is added to the end... the amount of time I've wasted... well, at least now I know, thank you!
Excellent tutorial. I have a complaint though, I couldn't seem to find the file you use for the clearing formatting, duplicates removal and empty rows removal in the files you instructed us to download from the link in the description.

Brilliant tutorials as always but I have found a small error so the pivot tables analisys will be incorrect.....I noticed earlier in the tutorial but then realised in the spell checking section...After you got the word "Cancelled" correctly spelt on Row 11 then that row became a duplicate of Row 12....i.e. Rows 11 and 12 are exactly the same which means a Duplicate Records match needs to be run again

It seems like the problem might be related to the browser or its cache. I suggest trying a different web browser or clearing the cache of your current browser.
@@SimonSezIT hello, i have used google chrome, mozilla firefox. microsoft edge and have the same problem with each (even after deleting the respective caches). it is possible for me to enter my email address and i receive the message that an email should arrive in my inbox in about 10 mins - and i am still waiting (before you suggest it: i thave checked my junk-box. is there any other way that i could receive the files? regards colin huntley
@@SimonSezIT i have used 3 browsers: firefox, chrome and edge. caches were deleted beforehand. it was possible to enter my email address and i even got confirmation that an email would land in my inbox in about 10 mins. and i am still waiting! could i receive the files some other way? regards, colin
How we dynamically can extract the number of rows for: this month and last month, this quarter and last quarter, this year and last year from a table? Lets say there is column for thin 1, thing 2, thing 3 etc and each occur on daily basis and we want to know the number of those occurrences for the current month, quarter and year as well as the last ones? Could someone please help?
Actually, I noticed one more short cut. At 47:42, after you entered the =proper(clean(trim(b4))) formula hit control+enter, then double clicked the small box in the corner of the cell to paste everything down, all the cells in the helper row are now highlighted. From there I was then able to select 'contorl+C and it copied all the data in the C column. I then moved my cursor to cell B4, and then pasted special. I didn't have to put my cursor in cell c4, hit control+shift+down arrow to highlight everything, then Control+C, then Control+up arrow to get back to the top. Does that make sense?
Hello! I'm having trouble finding the error for rows 9 and 14 (Sub-Saharan Africa). I followed each step in the tutorial (clean, trim etc.) and double-checked it as well. However those rows don't act OK. When I move on to change the formatting in column G to Date, G9 and G14 won't change to date but stay the same (41100, 42577). Not only that, those two rows have different row width as well and overall don't look OK.
Excel can automatically group dates by year, quarter, and months when you create a Pivot Table even if you don't have these fields/columns in your source table. You can simply remove them by unchecking in the Pivot Table field list.

47:30 - None of the times you've used the PROPER() function up to this part in the lesson did the 'of the' in "Democratic Republic of the Congo" correctly display the prepositions in the title! How do you fix that?! 1:07:48 - Or even quicker with less mouse movement is to use the 'replace' keyboard shortcut: ctl-h
The first hour+ is critical to avoiding problems and pitfalls with problematic source data... the entire tutorial is a must watch for anyone that wants to develop true expertise. The trainer recognizes this so doesn't omit it from the lesson.
