Very very close. Note9 for me is the winner. I don't like the over saturation by the PXL 3. The night time shots to me look more true to life on the Note 9 as compared to the PXL 3. The picture of the bell tower taken by the PXL 3 was way over exposed. The selfies shot by the PXL 3 is the clear winner. The Note 9 seemed to have smoothed out or beatified too much. The videos were pretty close to. However the PXL 3 seemed to be a bit less choppy while you were running. Once again a great video Alex. Thank you.😁😁
Your comparison are among the best on RU-vid. Very informative with more examples than unnecessary talking. I don't know why you don't have more subscribers.
I like the note 9 because I like the S Pen, but I can't believe how much better the Pixel 3 did on the selfie's. But the screen is a lot better on the Note 9. They are a close call.
Wow, Note held its own better than expected. The Pixel seems to be blowing out bright lights and signs when that was it's strong suit in years past. Interesting...
For the daytime photos, sometimes the Note 9 took a better shot to me and sometimes the Pixel 3 XL took a better shot to me, but I think you got many better night photos with the Note 9 for sure. I think that the Camera mic is better on the Note 9 and I could edit a Note 9 video to have whatever colours I wanted anyways so I could get a Note 9 video to look like a Pixel 3 XL video. I liked the more of the Note 9s videos you took than the Pixel 3 XLs. The selfie's you took looked exactly the same in terms of quality to me just with different colours. I'm not surprised I would still pick my Note 9's camera over the Pixel's camera because Samsung knows how to make good DSLR cameras.
Wow Alex the cameras are getting so good its hard to say which one is better :P I would probably still go for Pixel 3 just because of software updates, if camera would be the only deciding factor i wouldn't be able to really choose.
For me its note 9 Daytime - Note 9 wins by a liitle bit Night - Note 9 is better due to better exposures and sharpnesd in details For selfies - Pixel 3 XL has no competition Video - Note 9 wins clearly
I think for daytime the Pixel 3 automatically applies more image manipulation and looks better. They use a lot of AI to do fancy stuff. More contrast and detail automatically. They can even add fill flash to portrais and stuff, basically it has nothing to do with realistic or "how you saw it" anymore, just good pictures. On Nighttime the Pixel 3 wins outright no contest. The Note 9 just eats up tons of detail using noise reduction while the Pixel uses some kind of fancy 15 picture buffer long exposure trick plus AI to optimize. There are many textures and details and lines outright missing on the Note 9, almost like a cartoon shader. Or it removes the grouting at 4:40 haha. Still both are impressive. Hopefully the algorithms will come to the next samsung as well. Thanks a lot for the comparison!
Daytime no contest the Pixel 3 XL is a clear winner the yellows are all screwed up on the note 9 which destroyed all the photos it was horrid..the nightshots is an easy Pixel winner..video the Note 9 is better and also has way better audio.
@@Hnz_000 that's funny.. Maybe you need an eye check.. It's clear in every video comparison on RU-vid between these 2 phones that the note 9 is too oversaturated on greens and on yellows but hey..there's always someone who can't see the difference just like the 4K naysayers that think 1080P looks just as good..
That's funny. I'm looking at the comparison and failing to see any "Destroyed" pics by the Note. In fact, the results are fairly similar between the two phones. Sounds like you're just talking out of your ass. A couple brighter yellows or greens here or there is not very significant.
@@nickmotsarsky4382 dude than get what looks best to your eyes.. My eyes tell me otherwise.. And there are eye doctors even where you live if you still can't see the difference...my ass talks but knows exactly what it says.
Differences in the main camera day time comparison are so minimal that it's hardly noticeable (except for that one landscape picture where the Note was way brighter and more pleasing to the eye).
so what do you do when pixel 3 pics are a bit darker. i noticed in my pixel 2 that it is all darker like not enough light, but the pics are really sharp
Listen this isn't even close day or night, the Pixel 3 just trounces the Note 9, and that's how good the Picels camera is because the Note 9 takes pretty good photos.
Dude, Samsung is known to take over-saturated pics, not Pixel OR iPhone which, on the other hand, prefer more toned down natural colors. Sure, you got few saturated pics from the Pixel, but overall Samsung had way more saturated pics here, just look at this example here at 5:55, the grass looks extra green on the left !
Please get your facts together before using social media services such as RU-vid to spread misinformation and show off the world your little slice of ignorance. Here is the link: www.phonearena.com/news/Pixel-3-XL-OLED-panel-LG_id105321 . There are also plenty of other sites confirming the above. Pixel is made by HTC and their panels are manufactured by LG. Samsung is providing their display panels to Apple, not HTC.
@@flmclau ... lol at any iPhone being worth it. Even iPhone users are saying iPhones are boring AND the Note 9 offers more. The P20 pro is the ONLY phone that can compete with the Note 9 and it is still missing things that the Note 9 have and the UI sucks on the Mate 20. I wonder why consumer report ranked the Note 9 as the best phone of 2018. iPhones just doesnt win sh** and Huwaie phones are always a close second.
Hi, thanks for the upload and keep up the great work. Yes I agree the note 9 much better daytime photos and definitely sounds better with video recording. nighttime photos would have to go to the pixel and also video recording and the selfie camera is much better on the pixel, I sure hope they would come out with an update for the pixel because in every RU-vid video I watch consistently under exposing every photo especially in the shadows.
Well first off I don't wear sunglasses when I look at picture comparisons. I like the new pixel phones and was thinking of switching to it if you can't admit that the pictures are dark in the shadows then you must be a very big fan of the pixel or work for them.
