I would give all the win to those photos with human face to Pixel. The skin tone is on point and looks real compared to iphone (which mostly become orange anyway)
I mean both of you just picked what you "thought" was your phone's image most of the time. Especially the guy for iPhone. Even admitted as much. Something along the lines of "I went for that one because I thought it was the iPhone image based on the white balance" rather than saying you like it more or less. Bit pointless if you're just trying to determine and pick YOUR phone instead of the best photo...
I really enjoyed this blind test. Both cameras did well. I am glad that you included a skin tone test. I figure that more photos are taken of people than landscapes, and getting skin tone right might matter to a lot of people.
....they used the cameras wrong, unfortunately. If they used the tele lens, the amount of zoom should be different. In the tele pic of the woods, it's obvious that both were zoomed in 3x, so the Pixel was digitally cropped in. But even then, it wasn't focused correctly. The second tele shot (in the street) is more like what you should expect at 3x for the Pixel. Not surprising considering you had your wives do it, just disappointed that it was messed up like that. Should have done one at 3x and one at 4x, if that's the case.
I think this being the first iteration of Tensor + new camera sensors for Pixel 6 pro can tell us it can just improve with time. Most of the bad photos can be fixed with software updates. Great Review.
