I just would not bother, send it in to google, is the same price that ifixit charge for the loose screen… if an original screen was half the repair t google, yes i do it my self..but at the same price…no

@joller79 there are other suppliers out there and I'm not talking about the random people with low quality screens on Amazon lol. Etechparts is where I buy my replacements now.

@@AlphaKala whatever you feel like doing, if the screen is the only thing broken after a car over it, then great. Here in Denmark, an aftermarket screen costs the same as an original from ifixit europe, so no need to save money there… the i fixit kit have a few tools and so on, yes, but you still have to have the hastle of you mght break stuff when taking apart… it took me under a week from when i send google the repair inquiry till i got my phone back, i got the same one back, others have just gotten an replacement i believe

I bought your kit and worked almost perfectly. It was like the adhesive was a few mm too thin, so on both sides it did not go to the edges but rather 2 mm inside in both sides all the way up. It’s impossible to correct once you lay it down as trying to loosen the adhesive just stretches it and makes it bulge. So be extra careful or cut the plastic in two to be able to stretch it to the edges in both sides when applying, I hope it still seals the phone and keeps the display in place. Great video, and a normal suction cup is enough, you don’t need the fancy clamp.

Great video, also found that you sell the adhesive separately on your webside, cheaper than the ebay marketplace. Thank you for making these videos! 🙏

I just won a brand new replacement screen for my Google pixel 7 pro, got it for $7.00 , but it'll cost me right around 10 bucks when it's all said and done after taxes and fees, still beats the hundred+ dollars Amazon wants for it. I've never changed a broken phone screen before but I'm pretty handy with my hands so I'm sure i can do this. I literally just won that replacement screen like 5 minutes ago, that's why I'm looking for these how to videos, gonna pick the screen up tomorrow hopefully and I'll come back here and post how it went, thanks for the video with instructions, this is what RU-vid is for .!! I have learned how to fix so much stuff from just watching videos, probably saved myself thousands of dollars by simply watching videos💪💪 Can't beat it

Do you think it's good enough to be waterproof still? I'm on the fence to whether I use the supplied adhesive, or use silicone. I found silicone used to work best on the last phone I replaced the screen on. Plus its hydrophobic...

@@pdenajim I decided to use the supplied adhesive and for the first time, I'm glad I did! It was hands down the easiest repair I have ever done! Also, an extra step I took was to heat the screen after installing it on the phone. While it was softened by the heat, I put some weight across the entire phone to get it to adhere extra well. It feels like a brand new phone

I'm just about to do it. What I have found with previous phones is that the chassis gets dented, the screen won't sit properly on the adhesive. Also because the screen is slight twisted it will crack easier. Instead, I found it best to use silicone. That fills any gaps and allows the screen to sit in a nice flat plane. Also because there is no metal on metal it strengthens the screen from shocks. Plus it's hydrophobic... My chassis isn't dented this time, so I'll give the adhesive a go, but if it won't take properly, I'll go back to old faithful.

Just couldn't have shown that black adhesive being removed from the camera hole? I had to remove the screen to remove this tiny piece of adhesive, destroying the gasket in the process. Now I'll need to open it a third time to do the replacement right.

Hey y'all. Catch a Gigaset GX6 Pro and let us know how repairable this handset is. Has the basics; phone jack, SD card, dual SIM, and get this - a *replaceable battery.* I'm looking at it as an upgrade to my current (and no longer supported) LG products, and anything that's like my LG P870 catches my attention.
