yes! I've always gone for the smaller device. pixel 3, pixel4, pixel 5, pixel 6 was a let down because of size. so, I had to wait for the smaller a series. I still have the none pro versions but I also have the a series because of size. Same thig on apple, I always wondered why they didn't just do what apple did with the apple pro version, it's the perfect size.

Interesting. If devices do release earlier this year I think this would be to prevent black friday and holiday deals to impact the price too fast after release, which has been an issue for Pixel for quite some time.

Dont get your hopes up, everyone cheered about pixel 6 and Tensor G1, but we all know how reliable it was... It wasnt completely bad but ONLY NOW with G3 and upcoming G4 this chipset is and should be truly polished in p9 to perfection and working like google stated in its wonderful G1 promises! Soo.. yea, for my main device i would rather buy pixel 9, then wait out p10 &11 and then set my sight on p12 or p13 when this new generation chipset will be truly polished and reliable! (Without heating issues, random stutters, restarts) forced software patches and so on.... 😉

(Gemini and GPT 4o!) who hasn't been able to give me a correct answer yet, in precise/accurate mode. If you don't correct the "super-intelligent" A.I. 5 times, the answers are garbage. But it uses 24-250x as much power? I really wonder why a private person would need such a thing. It's easily 3 years away from being really "useful" and not just overhyped tech bullshit. And nobody can take away my data protection concerns. We all know how American cloud server architectures are monitored by law. I don't care what the corporations promise. It's all BS..

don't do it, i was using pixel 7 pro , after screen broke , i thought i will try new iphone (15 pro), i was using it for 2 months, got tired and bought pixel 8 pro 🤣🤣🤣🤣, after using one pixel every other phone is just "dumbphone" , and my phone is not on English (english has all benefits) , i'm using it on Croatian language.

I was the same with iPhone and moved to Samsung Galaxy few months ago, well it is not boring but very messy. You will quickly learn what inconsistency is in android and big mess with apps

Looking forward to the Pixel 9 Pro with the slightly smaller form factor but keeping the extra camera sensors. The Pixel 6 Pro is just a bit too big for my comfort/preference. I've also been waiting to hear if there's a new wifi 7 line-up of mesh routers, as my generation 1 Google Wifi pucks are in need of upgrading.

I’ve seen so many people complaining about the new Pixel 9 design. Many are saying it looks too much like an iPhone as if that’s a bad thing. Take a look at Samsung and Motorola too, they’re all headed in that direction with the design language. I think it looks super premium and I like how Pixels change their appearances each year. As a former Pixel user, I’m hoping the overall performance and software experience vastly improves. But I’m guessing it won’t change much till next year when TSMC is doing Tensor.

Wtf is wrong w Google not getting their processor up to date or going w Qualcomm or have a chip to a similar level of performance to complete in the flagship market. The upcoming pixels will barely match the performance of Snapdragon 8 gen 1 and we are nearing the release of 8 gen 4 which is like 3 years ahead than Google

I've been with my Pixel 8 Pro since the start of sales, almost. I plan to switch to a new one when Pixels have: 1. Production of processors from TSMC. 2. Ultrasonic fingerprint, since the optical one is as inaccurate as possible. 3. Face ID like Apple. Otherwise, I would like minor improvements in the shell.

As someone who every day cleans their pixel with paper towels soaked in 91 percent rubbing alcohol I think I'll hate cleaning around the pixel 10 camera bar. I've been cleaning my pixels since the 6 with 91 rubbing alcohol and never had any issues with moisture going inside the phone. And I literally soak the phones. Also knock on wood, I've never had COVID.

I think they will announce the Pixel Tablet 2, as well. They've recently sent out 25% discounts for the Pixel Tablet, which had me tempted, until I became dubious that it was a plan to shift old hardware.

That new Camera Bar design is hideous! As awful as the Apple efforts. The 6-8 option was a perfect solution. I am planning to upgrade my lovely 6a this year, to either the 8, or 8a, but am hanging fire for price drops. Can't see my being tempted by the 9 options. It will, however, be interesting to see how case manufacturers get around this one! 😉😉

Not sure what surprised me more, the very early Google event announcement or the very British Damien ending his sentence by saying "period". I just hope what ever Google does it treats us none US members better. I really hope the Pixel 9 Pro will be a smaller phone as rumoured. A nice selection of colours would be nice too.

As much as I like the 9 series design, I'll probably stick with my 6 Pro for a while. If the 9 series is still hot for no reason, I'll probably skip it. However, I think we all agree that Pixel is a hot smartphone. Literally hot hot. 😅
