I am trying to make sprites for RPG Maker MZ, but they need to be 48x48 or 48x 63. I lose a lot of detail when I make them. Can you do a video on doing sprites that are less pixels like this? I am trying to make it look detailed and legit but it's difficult.
Was there ever a video made on human anatomy and such? I know I could watch a traditional art tutorial, but as I won't be using that style I find it boring.
@@keremaslan1988 it means to build the program using the source code from github because asprite is open source. Just watch a youtube tutorial on how to build/compile asprite from source.
thats actually a manga. the character who uses the love note is REALLY into BL fanfic and just goes around making random guys fall in love with each other
would be cool to have a video on choosing the "right" pixel size for characters (I saw an interesting 24x24 decision in some titles), and character sprite sheets and their efficiency (splitting up based on what is likely to appear together on the screen vs a more semantic per-character split, so they are easier to work with and use direcly in the game.
I use a canvas tool called Leonardo for windows. It's mostly for art, but since the canvas is basically infinite and really fast, I like to use it for things like note taking and mood boards :)
hi Adam! super cool video! I´m starting studying Pixel Art, and i´d like to know what sizes you set your canvas and your checker background (for guides, grids etc)! Thank you so much! You Rock!
I know this is kinda old, and it may show up in older videos, but what program do you use to make your outline stuff? In the start you have photos and you're writing stuff down. I have a poster board app to drop reference photos for drawing and blender, but whatever you use looks way better
what blackboard tool are you using? looks like a great one for brainstorming & sketching! I'm just getting into pixel art so I thank you for this tutorial 🙂
The human brain is constantly trying to find shapes, patterns and recognizable objects in everything we see. It's the brains built-in survival mechanism. That's why when you look up at a cloud on a cloudy day you can see dogs, cats, cars, etc., etc., in them.

Just incase you aren't aware about 3 years later. There is non-canon spinoff Jojo's Bizarre adventure manga. Where a girl has the same power as the girl you draw in the video.
I don't believe there are any pixel / tile size combinations that allow you to have whole numbers of both inside a standard 1080p screen. You're either going to have odd-sized pixels or some tiles cut off no matter which scale you choose, and I think the latter is less important. especially if you have a scrolling camera, tiles being cut off some way or another is inevitable.
