I talk about the benefits of creating and working around a standard unit in which you base all of your other pixel art. you can think of it as a meter or a foot if you are from the states. Having some unit in mind can help you with sizing of everything else. Whether larger or smaller or the same size. Think of a door attached to a doorway. Should a hobbit door function differently from a door for humans vs a door for giants.
