I do love this & I think it needs to be recorded on millions of tapes buried in several locations around the world & some even shot into space in case the world explodes or something
I think it's insulting to say she's "the female version" of Nick Cave/whoever, PJ is PJ. She's very good on her own and needs no comparison but as an equal to any performer/artirt.
Polly never ceases to spellbound and inspire, she's one of the dyin breed of artists who still hugely impresses & never lets u down, after white chalk, i believe her most profound work, her latest collaboration with John Parish is another unexpected masterpiece..
I like the 43 seconds of silence for the death of Claudine (the inflatable one). It gives you time to contemplate how cool John Peel was to record for posterity bands experimenting like this.
@anonymous9191 Actually, it has never been released in any official form. She performed this song on John Peel's show, and that it. This audio is a pirate recording from that show.
haha, well I will never get and remember the difference between 'fit' and 'pass'. Sorry, I understanded your comment in quite a different way ;) Well, so than change it. Although I don't think its such a big deal. :)
I don't have exactly the problem with photo - in fact it's my personal favourite one:-) but the song ends around 3.00 and then remain few seconds without the sound and it shouldn't be:-(
Wow, you are amazing, ZZqezza. According to the pollyharvey site, this is currently unreleased. Do you want to tell them you have it? :-) I love this song. It feels like being in a circus, which I hate in general, but for this song, I like it. It might be partly because of the fantastic photo you chose. (Your other photo choices are also fantastic, by the way... Thanks so much!)
Hi Wm. I dont believe that I've ever been to Sinsinatti, but I am open to offers! I have mainly played concerts up and down the east coast, with one foray to Georgia recently. I am going to fly all the way to California soon for 3 gigs over there, which is an exciting challenge. One day maybe I''ll get to play in your town!
It is not a B-side. It’s from a John Peel broadcast, 1993. Never released on disc. Just broadcast the one time. People seem to use the term ‘B-side’ to mean any song that didn’t appear on a studio album, but obviously that’s not what a B-side is.
maybe because ithe whole "ma ma ma mr heaven" thing is just amazing:-) But the audio doesn't fit the picture, which kinda sucks:-( I'll have to reupload it, bleh
@@HidingFromFate it’s from 1993, post-Rid Of Me. John Peel’s show. Aired once and never again. Two other songs from this same session got official release: “Naked Cousin” and “Wang Dang Doodle”. “Claudine” and “Primed and Ticking” did not. The latter was included several times in the set list for the Rid Of Me tour in the spring and summer of ‘93.
