the entire JoJo album was my middle school soundtrack. The High Road was the soundtrack to my high school years. and her mixtapes were the soundtrack to my college years. gotta love Joanna.
Can we please take a second to appreciate how there is zero vulgarity, how intimate the lyrics are, and how Jojo's and PJ's voices paired together brings a whole new definition to "smooth?" I don't typically listen to R&B, but there's something magical about this song. Thank you!
@@EternalSilence4ever guys it doesn't matter, singers don't sing to get a trophy, they sing to be part of people's lives, if they did that they're well recognized
When you fall in love with someone, you think about them all of the time; And you want to be with them all the time. The same thing will happen, if you fall in love with Jesus.♥
@@thebeardedgaymer4888 yep because she was the only Artist they were making money off of. When she tried to leave they told her she couldn't take none of her songz with her basically pushed her into a corner
There's something seriously wrong with the music industry nowadays when a song like this isn't blown up. And isn't in a steady rotation of every radio station and streaming app.... It's sad the state of the music industry today 9/23 😢😢😢😢
I was just introduced to this song 3 days ago…when I saw how old it was, I was mad I didn’t hear it sooner. This song is just simply AMAZING! I’ve had it on repeat ever since I first heard it.
I honestly feel like this is a conspiracy. How did JoJo win a Grammy for best R&B song and I didn't hear about it until months later. Where the heck is her representation?! Where is her marketing team? Where is her merch?! I want a JoJo muscle T lol.
I haven't heard a song that makes me teary eyed in a looooong time this is the most beautiful song I've heard in a long time!!!! wow it almost takes my breath!!!
TO-TA LY-A-GREE‼‼‼‼‼ 👑👑💪🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💜💛💙💚❤👫👬👭💋💏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 She has absolutely matured ...vocals and all, even though Jo-Jo was already a baddie. And I want to congratulate her on the Grammy, BUT give them both crowns for this track because PJ is giving "us all" the business as well! 💜🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👑👑💯💯💯💯
This! OMG. I'm an old school music lover. Today's music doesn't move me too much, but this. Master Piece, vocals are on point, and the harmony is angelic. SAY SO!
I can't believe I only discovered this song 3 years after it was released. Well, I'm enjoying it like it just came out. I see it also got a Grammy. Well deserved.
A future Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance grammy nominee, mark my words! 😍 EDIT: aaand it's up for Best R&B Song! Congrats PJ & JoJo!! EDIT 2: aaand it won!! Well deserved ❤❤❤❤ Stream "Small Things" by JoJo on Feb 21 💖
It's about money and market appeal. Pop has a larger audience. An album could "fail" by our standards and still have generated good profit. To be pigeonholed, her audience becomes that much smaller.
Hell her last album (Mad Love) was basically that. I played all 10 songs from top to bottom. R&B vibes are mostly on there with exceptions of No. 6&7 I believe
"Be still and know that I am God" He is a true friend,a way maker and miracle worker. We shouldn't be shaken but always be still cos He is with us and always on our side. Love you Jesus.
Jose Lino she never said she won. She was responding/thanking people who were congratulating her. You’re not gonna correct ppl who are showing you kindness. And I haven’t seen any media saying she won except for a Twitter moment, which was only based on posts from fans who were claiming she won. Technically she didn’t win bc she neither took home a trophy nor went up on stage, but she contributed artistically to the winning song, which is definitely a great accomplishment even if she didn’t win a physical award!
@@ndp1869 .....where's he at? Like, for real, I need to plug him into my GPS, LOL 😉 I'm sure there _are_ good ones still available out there, so seriously, point me in the general direction of 'out there'.......🏇🏽🏊🏽♀️🚴🏽♀️🧗🏽♀️🏍🏎🏂🏽🛥🛩🚀♋🏁
@ Rosilyn MaKeba Smith. Allow my to reintroduce myself. I am right. Best man you never met. Not trying to be boastful but I know my worth. 2020 will be my year.
I completely relate to that feeling of loving someone and not wanting to leave, but being totally willing if they're not willing to give you what you'd give them in a heartbeat.
@@marklouiebonayon1176technically "this generation" would be Gen. Alpha born from the year 2013. JoJo was born in 1990. That's my generation. She's a Millenial. You tried. Everyone can't claim her. Ijs.
Wow! This is beautiful! No lie I haven't heard a good male and female duet where both voices are amazing since Usher and Monica's slow jam. Great job PJ and JoJo 👌
I love this song! I'm glad they made a video for it! They should definitely do more duets with each other! Honestly, this song is underrated and slept on unfortunately!
Hi, I’m Phenix and I’m 11 years old and understand PJ Morton’s music. He has the voice of an angel and so does JoJo. I hope God blesses everyone who reads this message, if you have kids encourage them to listen to anybody with voices like PJ Morton or JoJo. My mother always encourages me to listen to old school music or R&B music period. It’s all about what you hear in the songs, usually people in my class talk about throwing it back or whatever but it’s not that, it’s about the purpose of the music. In my near future I will encourage my children to listen to this. No matter how old it is. May God Bless you all ❤️🙏🏽
Exactly what I said when I heard this earlier! She can really sing her ass off, and I hope this song gets the marketing it deserves. If they can push these drug addicted artists making bullshit music, they can push real artistry of this caliber!
Lol...not one on one, there are millions of blacks that will eat her lunch for lunch. It only sounds extra good because we are programmed to get overly exited when whites do what we already master. She sounds no different than our Queens. BUT she is sanging
@@98tam everything is about race. And she didn't just wake up singing that way, clearly she MIMICS black women voices. Which is the exact reason I gave my Queens credit for her sound. Whites will take credit for the culture and say "she been singing that way since she was little". Which by the way has NOTHING to do with where she copied her sound from....
This smooth melodic joint will have you in deep thought reminiscing about that complicated relationship with your significant other....praying and wishing for healing to everyone going through it with that special someone..... #HopelessRomantic #LoveStillExistInThisCrazyWorld #RealRnB
@@sersastark I’m so late getting back here. Yes I’m aware. But, he’s still underrated. He even has a song about the fact that he’s not mainstream. They are both slept on. Because his genre of music is not what’s popular these days, nor his style.
"If you love me just say so" "I don't love you" ... Sometimes it ends like this ... I'm so sad..and in quarantine with my family.. I even have to hide myself while crying in order to keep my privacy.. Can't even ask my sister to give me a hug.. #heartbreakduringcoronavirus But still I know one day I'll be loved by a man..during this tough time we have to have hope, even if it's so hard.. A hug to everybody from an Italian girl.. Stay safe🙏❤️
You two can both blow!!!! I love this song and I'm clean and sober but the song takes me on an absolute HIGH!!!!! Your voices together are delightful and heavenly. Please do another one.
