The 1981 hit film, STRIPS DVD re-release in 2005. I booked these two great actors P.J. Soles & Judge Reinhold for this fun CNN interview. This was when CNN use to do entertainment segments! I wish they would do more today!
He had swallowed a lot of aggression….along with a lot of pizzas. In all seriousness, he was a tremendous talent that left his family and his fans too soon. So many great characters. I probably remember he and Steve Martin in Planes, Trains, and Automobiles and him in Uncle Buck the most.
Judge was in some great movies during the '80s, absolute classics! One that people don't think of was called Ruthless People with Danny DeVito. Great era for movies
Must have watched this movie3 dozen times when it came out on The Movie Channel. When cable Tv first came to My town. Back then HBO and the Movie Channel would run the same 3-4 movies over and over for a month. Or so. And as a 13 year old boy the shower, scenes and Mud wrestling scenes were particularly entertaining 🤪
PJ Soles. Does this woman age? She looks fantastic I love this movie and used to own it on big box VHS. The most remembered scene, as by most the strip club and song 'The 'Rubberband Man'.
Judge Reinhold "ruthless people" was fantastic. Bett middler lost weight, Danny devitto got a raise, and Helen slater(supergirl, Billie jean) hotness is shows what coolness really is
Yes! Great great movie, Hey don't forget the other actor who played the dummy Ken doll who was hitting up the redhead MILF. The scene with the two cops look at each other and one said " I think we should shoot him, " cracks me up all the time. One of the better sleeper movies of the '80s. 😎👊 Bill pollack I believe is the name...
When actors were actors )an movies) were movies) dam good) i have not been to the movies. For so long ) its hurts) missing ) drive inn's) an theater's) an good movies)
I did alot of time in FT Knox and the last time I was there the buildings are all gone but the water tower was still there and I could imagine where they were standing doing the scenes for the movie. Great stuff.
@FT KNox , KY.. but for the movie was change to FT Arnold. WW2 barracks on the background are gone(demolished) Obstacle course abandon, vegetation overgrown. The BLDG location where they got reception with all the flags was demolished as well. Building location (CIF) where took their haircut and issue uniforms (TA-50) still up and working except for the barber shop no longer on that building. I am Retired US ARMY. I live 40 minutes from Ft Knox, also did BT and EIT there in 1982.
This is great. CNN would never do a simple fun interview like this for Stripes today. They'd break it down as how offensive it was and bury it for lack of "diversity".
Bill Murray’s “second movie”?!?! Maybe starring roll in a big blockbuster but he had a major roll in Meatballs and played Hunter S Thompson in Where The Buffalo Roam before Caddy Shack!
I love this movie it’s so ridiculous if you were in the army for a couple hours you know what I mean. Also this is no li I was in that movie.. am I seen am I recognized no. Remember when Murray was on the couch looking at that army commercial? In the movie they played an army recruiting commercial and Murray says that what I need I need the army. So then you a really good looking soldier who is marching in a parade an army parade. The army filmed that commercial in the late70s I kind of knew that soldier that was in the foreground of the commercial this was a commercial to recruit soldiers to work on tanks I. Talked to the guy I saibwell did you get any star treatment he said director took over to the base snack bar and bought him lunch I said is that it ? He said yes anyway I was like 300 people behind that guy blasé we were liming a parade scene and he also was a tank mechanic which is why he was the star.
