Heather Windster spent the last two months of her pregnancy bedridden at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center.
Windster's placenta had grown outside of her uterus and was attaching to other abdominal organs, putting her at extreme risk for "torrential hemorrhage at the time of delivery," according to Banner Health physician Jordan H. Perlow, MD.
Perlow describes the treatment plan and team approach created to keep Windster physically safe and emotionally reassured.
