Lmao same but it’s understandable they get packed and they don’t want people bringing friends that are late and scooting tables together. Restaurants in big cities can be like that a lot of times you have to make sure your entire group is ready and with you.
@@kushal4956 I once sat in a restaurant with my friend for over 6 hours. I'm not even kidding. That's usually not an issue. They just come 2-3 times to ask you if you want anything else
@i ou1! it's really not if you keep ordering things. I sat in a restaurant with my friends for nearly 4 hours recently. We had a lot ot catch up on and it was a special occasion so we had multiple courses and ordered lots of drinks so there was no point in the evening where we just sat there with nothing on the table. The staff was super friendly and gave us a bunch of complemetary sides and drinks as well.
Why was that awful waiter he so condescending and OVER IT right from the get-go... "I can only seat 4 partiessss, and no-one will be able to join youuu, sooo, what do you want to do about thatttt. Soo nobody will be able to join youuuu."
I saw a meme once that said "NEW YORK IS A GREAT PLACE TO HAVE A HORRIBLE DAY BECAUSE YOU CAN CRY IN PUBLIC AND LITERALLY NO ONE CARES." And for some reason that host really made me realize that that must be true.
Damon, I'm so jealous of all of your friends who have the privilege of hanging out with you and experiencing your infectious personality outside of this virtual reality. What a beam of liiiiiight!!
You’re actually quite informed about the entire New Amsterdam thing. Only, the English didn’t just come over and call it New York, but the Netherlands traded New Amsterdam for Suriname. That’s when the English changed it to New York. Greetings from the Netherlands :)
It's refreshing to see an NYC vlog with this style of editing and the color palette. The editing very much gives me Casey Neistat vibes. The aspect ratio is also refresh because I've never seen this for a vlog before.
love this video!! just wanted to point out @2:04 that the Dutch didn’t “discover” NY. it is home to the indigenous people (lenni lenape) who were displaced by Dutch and English colonizers.
Greetings from NYC! The next time Damon releases a video, I'll be in Madrid! Then Rome, then Athens, then Nice (for Cannes Film Festival). A two month trip through major countries across Western Europe. My first big trip. A couple months ago, Damon's ad popped up promoting his French language course. I was so taken with his humorous and stylish yet down to earth approach that I binged his channel and committed myself to traveling abroad this year. We'll see how it goes. Get at me in the French Riviera! Travel tips welcome.
the wait for another damon's videos are so worth it!! he always delivers. so unique from the rest of the RU-vid content!! well well done. you're THE BEST
I'm just here watching NYC through Damon's video while wearing a NY t-shirt that my Peruvian uncle gifted me almost a decade ago. Feeling nostalgical and Cracking up with these unfortunate events. Greets from Venezuela! L😻ve u!
Thanks boo! I'm feeling a renaissance of my RU-vid! My own entertainment for making videos comes in waves to be honest, but I'm really diggin' these videos lately!
Thank you for doing this. Half of these places are on my list of places I've never been but always wanted to go to and you have confirmed that I'm missing out on absolutely nothing! lol
@@damondominique Yay! Hopefully lots to catch up with, with Europe coming out of lockdown!!! Here in London we're so ready for S U M M E R ! Can't wait :)
