Tenor Plácido Domingo sings "Niun mi tema" from the last act of Verdi's Otello from a September 27, 2005 recording at the opera house in D.C. This was recorded with a little digital voice recorder meant for taking dictation, so the quality is unfortunately not very good. The performance itself was very moving, though better seen than just heard. I do think this, poor quality and all, in some ways gives a different perspective on what Domingo sounds like in the auditorium during a live performance (rather than in close miked and potentially compressed radio broadcasts or studio recordings).
Domingo was a sprite 64 years old at the time. Heinz Fricke conducted. This is from a different performance than the one that was broadcast over the radio.
