I believe you could the only thing really stopping you is the fence for the jointer. As I did I carve a hole for it to extend under the planer out feed. I think you could make it stick out less. I sort of went with that because of other carts I made. Eventually I will probably make changes or do something entirely different....If you would please share your end when you get around to it
I have a similar jointer and thickness planer and I'm looking for good ideas about rolling stands for them. I really like your perpendicular arrangement for the two. Could the jointer tuck farther up underneath the planer, with the planer bed folding out *over* the jointer, to save more space? I'll certainly borrow from your ideas when I build my rolling stand this fall. Many thanks for sharing.
