After not playing for over 10 years & using Spyders, I quickly found out how ancient my markers were. I mean, when I got them to work for a few games and then leaks all over the place! Well, I made the decision to get a new marker. So, nearly 2 years ago, I looked around and was advised to look into the GTEK. After much research, I bought one and NEVER looked back! Compared to poppet valves, it is beyond simple to maintain (takes less than 10 mins. to do a full basic service); which was my main concern after having Sypders. They were a PITA to maintain. Plus, I have never had an issue of any kind with my GTEK. I loved it so much, that I have gotten just about every version offered with a Gamma Core! I have since bought a 160R Stealth, EMEK, and 170R! Plus, I got the GMEK frame for the GTEK. They all are nothing but reliable. I am so grateful that I was referred to look into the Planet Eclipse Gamma Core line! I am a fan for LIFE!
I own a shocker rsx , which you can get for under $350 used I have had mine for years without issues and you can buy a mech frame as well. That said , Planet eclipse is so reliable and every event I go to, I always see a PE tech. Which I hardly see and other company tech at events. That said , I'm sad to see the etek line die off , I know planet eclipse said there is no plans for an etek6 and only poppit you can buy from them is a lv1.6.
I love the Etek Line of markers. I have had my etek 3 since 2010. Still is in mint condition, not one scratch. Only recently replaced one oring and a piston. Shoots like brand new. Plus resell is high due to the fact these markers last forever and there accurate, get one and see. Etek 3 or 5 is the best out of the line in my opinion. I'm sure Gtek is nasty as well. Haven't shot one though so I can't comment. I went for a bob long when it came to my spool marker. Couldnt find a Gtek at the time. Still looking but came across a etek 5 on the low, compared to others. I seen one going for 850 now 700 new. Lowest I saw a used one was 480s. Still holding high value and people are still buying an selling them all day. Parts are easily to get if needed. Rearly needed though, at least from my experience.
umm no first was the gtsk etek5 then was the etha2 after was the 160r last was the 170r witch is an all metal ehta2 the the cs2 But love my gtek And I still use my Promaster and Freestyle buy Indian Creek
There isn't any performance difference between the Etha 2 and any other Gamma core marker, because they all have exactly the same mechanicals that are responsible for shooting the ball. The Etek has a much different feel as mentioned in the video, but there is no meaningful performance difference. That might seem off, but the fact is that there is precious little separating any reasonably modern markers with regard to performance. Some are a bit softer on paint, are a little less or more efficient, but that's about it.
