Planet of Burning Ice - for Symphonic Band 

This was my senior composition project during my last semester at MSU Denver. This composition was inspired by the planet Gliese 436 b, nicknamed the planet of burning ice due to the solid mass of super heated ice kept in a solid state by intense pressure. Each section of the composition represents different aspects of the planet. The beginning theme presented by the clarinet represents the planet's first appearance. This was composed and played back in Finale 2012 using Cinesamples. Enjoy!
