Took me a second to realise he is playing one i git awhile back. I didnt go far in this one vuz my computer died shortly after. Looking forward to this! Glory to raptoria base 1!
@@dr.quantum1644 was quite some time ago but im not sure what failed on it! I just recently built one with a rx580 in it. Been on bannerlord and snowrunner
Asteroid means "star shaped", they're the things in the sky that appear similar to stars, but aren't. Meteor is the fiery streak in the sky left by an asteroid entering Earth's atmosphere. Meteorite is the rock or metal left on the Earth after an asteroid enters as a meteor and survives the heat of entry to strike the Earth's surface.
@@TKBarnes So it only becomes a meteor once it loses orbit of the star/planet it's been orbiting and just starts flying off? Always thought they were the same thing 😂😂
@@ironduke5058 Well, I am NOT a astronomer so do take it with a grain of salt but afair it goes like this: - Meteoroid - it's in space and is a tiny asteroid. Basically space dust Meteor - once it gets the tail i.e. starts burning in the atmosphere it's a meteor or falling start Meteorite - is the leftover bit after it's finished burning through the atmosphere and lithobreaking :) EDIT: Also technically steps 2 & 3 apply also to asteroids but since the last time it happened it killed off the dinosaurs let's not hope for a show like that any time soon. :)
This has been my go to game when bored for years now. Always fun and challenging. On the easy worlds it’s easy. The last two are pretty tricky. In order you people need air, water food. First build should be 02 generator large, solar collector or power collector, water collector, windmill. For outside modules always build the biggest you can. Indoor modules at first usually stick to small ones for first builds and as you mentioned leave room for expansion. Then build a small storage and the airlock connected to it. As the resources degrade when outsider and will eventually disappear. then small canteen and a water fountain as it’s first module. Then add the greenhouse small or medium and pick the plants and then prioritize work in it. Then the processing plant then factory then dorm and sick bay, then mine. Turn off the mine until all your outside resources have been put in storage then turn the mine on and prioritize work in it. Then balance mine work between the processing plants. Then build a landing pad and go ham from there! It’s a fun simple but it can be quite challenging on the last two worlds. Of course there are few hard and fast rules but on later worlds the order is very important as everyone will die pretty quick!
I had no clue you were at a million subs lol. How fast did that happen? You always repeat my 5 dollar super chats and I appreciate that very much. Thank You
I FOUND THIS GAME YEARS AGO and I have been watching these videos since then, I ended up with SEVERE MUSCLE PAIN 3 years ago and I was bed ridden and I watched these videos while I was recovering , I'm grateful that You made these videos, it helped me to get through the pain and keep my mind busy, Thank You for making these videos, It has really helped me ALOT with working on my space hab room as well, I can sit and relax and watch them at night after my kids go to sleep and it makes me feel like I'm in a real space hab room on a space station , my kids LOVE my space hab room because of ALL the cool stuff that I have been working on, I really ENJOY watching them, I camped out on a MARS surface at a volcano with my sister and my brother n law a couple years ago after I graduated from U.S, SPACE ACADEMY in Huntsville Alabama , I camped out on at a VOLCANO called BROKEN TOP here in Oregon on a MARS SURFACE , THE ENVIRONMENT looked and felt like MARS, IT WAS SO EXCITING!!!! my dream of going into space came true when I camped out up there , it felt like I had gone to MARS after four days of camping out on the MARS surface and your videos made that possible, my dream of camping out at a Volcano was more EXCITING then I could have EVER DREAMED POSSIBLE!!! I camped out for about FOUR DAYS and it felt like I was on MARS!!!! Since then your videos have been very helpful to me!!!! and I added your videos to my SPACE CAMP facebook pages, I LOVE WATCHING THEM!!!! Because it reminds me of my MARS ADVENTURES UP AT BROKEN TOP, and their fun to watch!!!! I am returning to BROKEN TOP wich I CALL MARS OREGON this summer, ONCE AGAIN I AM VERY EXCITED!!!! in the meantime I AM SO EXCITED to see more these videos when I return and be able to share ANOTHER EXCITING ADVENTEROUS mission with everyone!!!! and I look forward to seeing more videos when I return and share more videos on my space camp facebook pages and what videos you made, Thanks Again 🙂 Sincerely Yours, LAUREL TYLER
The Sick-Bay and Dorm are 'dead-end' structures so can only be connected by one corridor. It's best to put these ine a place you don't want to connect other things to.
You said this 3 years ago, so many be that has changed a little. There are two things that can power off, or connect to the dorms, one of which is the rotating sign with the name of your base displayed.
first off you have to connect you mine to the base for power. also certain dome can have tunnels to connect to one another. I'm really surprised you haven't seen this game, its been out for a while now for at least 2yrs now.
Love this game and played the heck out of it. But I was almost screaming at the screen: Connect the damn mine to the power grid! And no, you don't research, you buy tech off traders. And some buildings are dead ends, as in only one connection possible (Sleeping or medical).
FYI "wild rice" is not rice, it's an aquatic grass. Yes, I know, so is rice, but wild rice is wild and must be harvested by hand. Harvesting wild rice via machine damages the delicate grains.
I MADE MY BEDROOM INTO MY NEW SPACE HAB ROOM , I'M A FIFTH YEAR SPACE ACADEMY GRADUATE, I WANTED TO BE AN ASTRONAUT, I LOVE SPACE EXPLORATION, AND I'M SINGLE REBORN MOTHER , I LIVE BY MYSELF IN OREGON, I REALLY ENJOY WATCHING THESE VIDEOS , IT HELPS ME TO PASS THE TIME AND THEIR FUN TO WATCH , THANK YOU FOR MAKING THESE VIDEOS , I HOPE TO SEE MORE OF SOMEDAY, SINCERELY LAUREL TYLER
Played this on PS4 and it is a bit different than PC but not much. I knew you were going to have problems from the start due to your choice of where to set and how the game is about setting the units. I chuckled a bit but you did a great job.
I think the main reason Raptor plays video games is to get the rest of us to buy those games so we can play them properly... He's convinced me to play more than enough games.
This is still a fun game to play but I wish they could’ve added more content. For example, allowing the colonists to have children to grow the colony instead of just having colonist ships over and over again. Have the ability to learn technologies instead of only having to purchase them. Being able to clear the terrain. Stuff like that.
Asteroid is a stone flying around in space. Meteor is a space stone flying towards the Earth, or whatever other planet, as it burns in the atmosphere. Meteorite is the space stone that has reached the surface of the planet.
What I would love is a game that is a 3rd person mashup of Planetside/ Surviving Mars, and Mass Effect. I had hoped that is what Andromeda was going to be, with colonizing a galaxy, but so much for that. Can anyone recommend any titles?
Just started on this series, so no idea if you found out already: some rooms are dead ends. Barracks and medical facility among them. So you want to preplan :)
yeah and I really wish they would bring back an updated Outpost, the whole setup stage was so good. I do think Mars building games are far too easy at the beginning though, things should go wrong, it should be a struggle to get oxygen working, etc
You asked: An asteroid literally means "space rock (or lump)" - a rock *in* space. A meteor is (essentially) a "sky rock" - a rock in the atmosphere. A meteorite is a "rock from the sky" - a "sky lump" but found resting on or under the ground.
Asteroids are in space, Meteors are Asteroids in Atmosphere, Meteorites are Meteors that have impacted a planets surface. All basically the same thing, just different classifications to describe where it currently is.
Raptor, this is very important. You are learning the game so you will make lots of mistakes and learn from them. The game is actually hard, you have to balance you expanding with the needs of the base. But I will give you this only tip. Building that place structures against the wall, you can get more in them if you place as close as possible to each other, you can get more beds in your dorm.
"Asteroid" literally translates to "Star-shaped" but in common usage, merely refers to the hunks of rock and metal orbiting far off in space that are not of sufficient size to be classed as Planetoids. An asteroid becomes a Meteor when it enters the atmosphere of a planet - the word "Meteor" literally refers to the sky and associated phenomena, hence why people who study the atmosphere, climate, and weather patterns, are called Meteorologists. A Meteor becomes a Meteorite if it survives the atmospheric entry and strikes the surface of the planet. In geology, the suffix "-ite" denotes a type of rock or other mineral deposit. Hence "Meteorite" roughly translates to "Sky Rock". Hope that clears it up :)
