As you have already figured out, making for a decent living here is not an easy task... however, we hope you have found good things in this part of the world and this stage of your life had contributed to make you happier and wiser. We hope you the best for you in your home country, we will miss you and if you want to visit here again in the future you will be of course very welcomed! By the way, I have brother who is traveling to Australia in a couple of months (a probar suerte), he doesn't speak English very well hehe so I hope he can find a decent job despite that. Best wishes Maddie, and thanks for your "visit" and for your videos that show Uruguay to the people around the world!
Hi, Uruguay was never a forever thing! I thought that was clear but I guess if you missed some videos. We still don't know yet, we have to wait and see how things play out.

Quick question, just to clarify, does Alejandro pay CASMU on his own or it gets directly paid from his salary (FONASA)? Just out of curiosity because my husband pays a little bit more than that and would like to know where’s the difference.😅😅😅
most jobs will pay it directly for you! but that is withdrawn from your salary (super normal for any USA friends, but for australia that is not normal!) he now works free-lance aka does not have an employer, so that means we pay CASMU directly, and its pretty easy to sign up by yourself!
not yet! and potentially not for another 2 years, it could be 6 months or 2 years to receive an approved visa so don't worry yet, but it is something that is coming in our future
@@MaddieAle I am Uruguayan living in New York and thinking of going back to my country but I don’t know if I will. This year my husband and I plan to visit to see what are the options for healthcare in case we decide to go. Although I think it will be unlikely we move back, I enjoy so much your videos and I am a big fan. You guys are very brave and had been through a lot and I just love your personality, your sincerity and candid approach to things. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences. Much love and wishing you the best for 2024.
