I joined the warm season grass group but, are waiting for approval. Anyway, I applied the T Nex PGR as the grass was waking up about 5 to 6 weeks ago. I know I added more than 0.25 per gallon in a motorized 4-gallon backpack sprayer using a fan type tip. I think it might've been overkilling it but, it's continuing to wake up but slowly and I see a few spots I missed weeks later. So, the neighbor's yards have been cut 3 times already and I haven't at all yet BUT will run it across it to pick up any debris laying around. The grass was scalped to 1 1/2" before any wake up started. I fertilize and weed treat all year and won the city award for the best-maintained yard overall last season (without any) PGR. I work my yard more than 1 day a week. I wanted to try this T Nex PGR this year to stop the issues 'vertically maintained' grass delivers. Stop the 1/3 of the tip every 3-day cutting. So with all that said my grass is slowly waking up of course but it makes the lawn look asleep here and the greening up in others plus the few patches of missed PGR application. With my heavier application than listed on the jug caused sleepy areas of brown. Could the grass be dead there from too much, too early? I guess the whole lawn would be dead looking (except the missed spots) if that was the case right? I have a product from Green Lawnger (green grass paint like golf courses use.) This can be added to most anything but is not used for just seeing where you're spraying. It actually will stay on the lawn for 8 - 11 weeks or more depending on how dark green you want it. Have you ever used grass paint on Bermuda? It's almost award giving time again and I'm seriously thinking of just painting it and let the PGR work away until I can get the grass thicker and green from the grass since this will wear off over time. Both the T Nex and the paint can be used together once what I want is achieved afterward. Sorry for the novel but, I wanted to cover as much as I could so, maybe you have a shorter reply with the straight forward reply. Thanks so much and waiting for your return here.

Can these be beneficial for long cut lawns, like 3 3/4 inches? I have a very large lawn that takes a couple hours to mow using a 54in zero turn mower and it is getting really annoying having to mow every 4-6 days!

First thanks for the turf knowledge. My Bermuda grass is looking it's best. I have a couple of spots that I'm trying to have the grass cover-up, will the PGR minimize the lateral growth of my Bermuda grass? Thanks in advance.

Trinexapac-ethyl has been shown to increase stolen and rhizome growth while suppressing top growth especially in high temperatures. We use it frequently in lawns that have bare spots to help them fill in more quickly. Used in combination with proper micro and macro nutrition it works wonders. I think penn state has a few reports on the topic.

After watching multiple videos about the reasons to use PGR on my home lawn has made me want to do it to my KBG lawn. That side by side really drove it home for all those that may have been on the fence about using a PGR in their yard. For me due to it making the lawn thinker I have less fear of my dogs messing it up excessively when they run on it.

Do you notice that T Nex helps suppress growth at the edges as well as it does in the interior of the lawn? I've seen a product called 'edgeless' marketed specifically for the edges, but it looks to be about 3x's more expensive than T Nex. If T Nex would perform just as good as Edgeless around the perimeter i think i've just found an awesome product!! Looking forward to your response, Thanks!!!

Awesome video as always. I have a lawn service and have been thinking about using PGRs on my customers lawns and only around the edges and areas to be string trimmed. Do you think this would work and how long do you think I could go without trimming or edging? Most of my lawns are Centipede and cut 2.5"-3"

Do you feel it would have any positive impact on bermuda cut at 3"- 3.5"? Would it be a good idea to mix with a blue marking when spraying down with pump sprayer? I was hoping it might look even thicker but at that height I am not sure. Thanks Mr. Ware!!

MQ reached out to the manufacturer a few years ago: “I contacted Quali-Pro about their PGR(T-nex) on the shelf life and they told me that it was pretty much infinite as long as you store it in a semi controlled environment between 32F-105F.” www.thelawnforum.com/threads/expiration-dates-on-lawn-chemicals-a-mystery.25062/#post-353857

St Aug lawn with a zoysia lawn games section. Put my PGR down a couple weeks ago and man, has it slowed everything down. Couple observations thus far, though... not a great color response in the St Aug... the zoysia slowed down so much that Bermuda is now starting to take over. Gonna have to address that STAT!

I did an application of T-Nex 1AQ mixed with Trimec 992 on bermudagrass. After seeing noticable yellowing, I reread the Trimec label where it says not to mix with a microemulsion. A done dizzle now. Any suggestions of how to bring to turf back to a healthy state?

Northeast Georgia. Do you have any other alternatives to broadleaf weed control you could suggest for warm season turf? Also, is it the true temperature that matters - or the effective temperature? It was not in the nineties that day, but the heat index easily could've been.

I’m in the beginning stages of rehabbing a 1000sq common Bermuda lawn in Arizona. My question is will I ever be able to cut it sub 1” or can I slowly introduce a hybrid type over the next few years if needed? Just love that low cut look.
