When he first started on his solo career , I did not understand. I understand today. He has delivered big time on quality music. This stuff gets better with each album.
Love Zep, always. When this album came out, I dove in and listened to it nonstop. Alison is just so lovely, and the lady has 27 Grammys. As a Heart fan, I’ve also envied Alison’s working with Ann Wilson on a few occasions. Alison was actually born a couple hours after I was, same day and year. Hard work, perseverance, talent, luck? Good for her! She and Robert Plant are Leos, so I’m sure they have some mutual understanding and rapport.
I seen Zeppelin live April 25'th, 1977 at Freedom Hall in Louisville, KY. I was always a huge Zeppelin fan, but I never really thought I would like Plant's music, or any Zeppelin member's music outside of Zeppelin, but I really do like Robert and Allison together. Something about them two really click together. Their new album is really great!
As much of a zeppelin fan as I am which is huge, I can appreciate Robert’s desire to expand his horizons - but one last tour of the greatest rock band would be spectacular I haven’t seen them since ‘75.
I've never met someone who loved Led Zeppelin as much as I (although I know they're out there) but honestly I can respect his feelings on it. There was a crazy amount of inspiration but also tragedy during that period for all four of them. I get wanting to make something new and fresh. :)
There's nothing old hat about Robert Plant. I like his collaboration with this beautiful young lady. I don't know if they're involved, but if so, I hope they enjoy!
@@lisaweaver986 Good for her. I'm 60 and no woman in her thirties has any business dating me, even though I'm in better shape than most guys in their thirties.
It's 2018, now - how did I never know about this!?!? Sure, I've been under a rock taking care of elderly parents but....! It's not under a big rock in the back of a cave or something! Wow
I just found the album a few months ago! Unbelievable and amazing! I didn’t know about it at all. I wasn’t under a rock just busy raising a family. Wish I had found it sooner.
@alisonprvt1 I think after repeatedly listening to the album several years ago, I got to love "Fortune Teller" after "Stick With me, Baby", "Gone Gone Gone" and "Rich Woman." Another duet I adore is Emmylou Harris and Mark Knopfler. 😘
@alisonprvt1 My Polish husband is a music lover of all kinds and I got to love yours by accident while randomly picking it from his big collections one day and as you can guess I instantly got addicted to it. Recently that album occurred to me while sitting on the balcony cloudgazing. I am Taiwanese living and teaching English in Poland since 2006. I am much older than you. We love discovering alternative music while traveling to other countries. You are genuinely a gem...
Ralph Stanley was a solid music built to souls. What an admiral of a man. Girlfriend Alison. You both are competely different commodities . I don;t know how the universe hooked you both up as so indifferent cies. It's more in perhaps to Robert getting away against what he was really born for. Do ya think! There is a deep good love there with Robert . Thank God he reached beyond.
Good album cleverley produced.Intelligent choice of songs brilliant harmonies, well done Robert well done Alison .Well have another ok.WHO HIGHLIGHTED THIS 🤨🤔
Wait a minute Robert? You have to give it some thought about Renchlar field? East Hartford CT is so boring that everyone would come out of the wood work.to see You!!!!!!
I saw the Charlie Rose interview with Plant and Krauss and got the impression Alison wanted to tell Robert to go Pound Sand when he called her at 2am while she was very pregnant to suggest the Deal. Alison is truly a Trooper! I wonder if that is why the work is called raising sand.
Steven Johnson 😅Yea, Wouldn’t U have loved to have been a Fly in her bedroom that night 🤣😅 ☎️ “ W H O” ? YOU CALLED ME at 2: FREAKING - CLOCK in the - - - - - - - - - MORNING TO ASK ME WHAT ??? 😫 ( HUSBAND yanking the phone from her hand - and asking ) “W H O IS T H I S❓” 😏 “IT’S JAKE , FROM STATE FARM”🤪 😂😂😂 ...
How old did he say Plant was ? He's a damn sight older than that ! I think it was 1970 when LZ came to Reykjavík, Iceland. I'm 74 this Nov. so he's at least as old as I am. So , according to this Sunday morning tv show, he must've been around 7 years old when he came to Iceland.
@@srujan00- They were going to go on as a different group without Robert. They should have followed through with it, nobody is holding anybody back. Robert's better off without revisiting the past. One has to only watch the 98 page plant tour to see Plant was becoming bored as all fuck singing mainly Zep every night.
He’s avoiding it for attention and in part to be a prick. As Roger Glover once said about reunions, “what’s the big deal? It’s just some old friends playing together again”.
Maybe he wants to move on from it. It was a time full of darkness. Plus honestly, do you think at 71 he can hit the notes he did at 25? I'm not convinced. He was amazing, hes still awesome but that was a long time ago.
Plant always said how devastating the death of Bonham was to him, and that Led Zep was now finished for him. We all do grief differently. Plant moved on musically. It’s called growth. There’s also the fact that no matter how brilliant young Jason Bonham is, he is not his father.
@@joshrandall5297 Page becoming reliant on Plant was sad. Zeppelin was everything for him. Other guitarist like Blackmore, Clapton, Beck, Frampton, etc moved on from their main bands and had success while page never seemed to be motivated to succeed on his own. His solo projects don’t have the goods.
