We do something similar to that in my country,The commonwealth of Dominica.we roast the Plantain and stuff it with saltfish or smoked herrings.but i love your recipe as well.
Love her accent, to my ears she is like singing. Thank you for the recipe, i will try it. Someone who was very dear to me told me his favorite food was plantain and to his memory once a year i eat this.
You all be making me soooooo hungry. When I was little I wouldn't touch Plantains, now I can't get enough! I wonder if green plantains are too firm to try it for the first recipe? The cinnamon sugar plantains are a must make soon! Thanks!
Will definitely have to give that stuffed plantain a try because plantain is a staple food in my home especially around Christmas i also make a cinnamon sugar plantain but I put them in the oven to bake in some orange juice till they are tender and sitting in a delicious cinnamon sugar syrup.
Do NOT, I repeat do NOT drain your fried plaintain on paper towels if they have sugar on them. I somehow decided that would be a good idea but omg. I'll not make that mistake when I try this again. lol But even though I had to peel them from the paper towel, they were absolutely delicious.
If you are allergic really look into the type of cinnamon your using there big differences l would recommend Ceylon cinnamon much healthier choice especially if your allergic
